Without going all MLT, does anyone find it funny or a coincidence that the red head who was pictured getting arrested is also an actor by trade and has been lapping up the media following all of this...
-
Ahhh yes, because she was at the front of the mob screaming no justice no peace. Still waiting for explanation to the justice they’re after, btw... The reality is, it was more than likely just a PR stunt from her after the trick those 2 fucking idiots from across the pond pulled earlier last week.

Yep, spot on. This wasn’t a vigil (maybe it was to some), by in large it was an opportunity to cause anti establishment anarchy. At bit like Mr Floyds death. if someone’s cat was killed, these loons would find an opportunity to protest. I think the large majority are starting to see through it though, thankfully.

Is anyone close enough to know how long these things usually take? For example, is it realistic that we could have a new owner by the summer transfer window? Assuming there are currently ongoing discussions in the background. Its clear that we’ll be taken over at some Point, I guess it’s just a matter of time and who. Noise from the club is that we won’t rush into a sale and we’ll wait for a suitable buyer, which sounds positive, but easier said than done when the money is waved in front of you. If the new owner isn’t in place by the summer, next season is going to be a long one.

Expecting the worse, hoping for the best. Not sure it matters though as we’re not going to win the cup. We need a change, 4222 isn’t working. I’d try 4231 with Armstrong in the 10. KWP Vestergaard Diallo JWP Armstrong Adams take your pick with the rest of the squad, all a bag of shite and as bad as one another. 2-0 Bournemouth.

I’m not sure anyone is really panicking and I’m also not sure our average points per game makes a difference. Ultimately, we need probably 6 points (38 points) to be 100% safe. We should get 2 wins from our remaining fixtures, but would I be surprised if we didn’t pick up another win? In our current form, no. Burnley will Be tough, exactly the sort of team who does well against us, but if we don’t beat them and or West Brom, I’ll be very worried.
-
If Gao is happy to accept £180m for us now, what do you think we’d be worth in the championship? £150m maybe..? Probably a more risky investment though, even with the price reduction as we’ll still be stuck with the same outgoing, just less incoming.

I was going to say it looked fake. 7/10, the name was too bold and out of line with the others.

We’ve accounted for more than that for ings deal, so that isn’t an issue. Although, his transfer fee probably would be. Perhaps, if we’re trying to be smart, we could swap him for ings and have a buy back clause for them at a certain, lower, fee? Would that be acceptable..?

What a silly thing to say. Obviously no manager, no matter how good or bad, would instruct players to be shit. Ultimately, the buck stops with the manager. If the managers tactics aren’t working, it’s for the manager to change them to make them work. if the players aren’t playing to the managers instructions, then it’s for the manager to either Pick players who will or get the players he has to play his way. We don’t have any money, so option 2 is his only option. If I was the board, I’d certainly be worried as to why the players aren’t playing to the managers instructions. Id suggest it’s probably due to lack of confidence and fear of making a mistake. It’s for the manager to install that confidence, if he can’t, we need to get someone in who can.
-
Of course there is. Bertrand is an absolute baby and whiny little prick when things get tough. The trouble is, he’s not good enough and doesn’t work hard enough himself to be like that. The sooner he’s gone the better as he’s not even a good player anymore.

It really is damning of Ralph and a question that needs to be asked that all sides seems to be in the mud, following the switch to this shared methodology.
-
Who knows, it could be someone with a lot of money but no football knowledge. Jordan is a pretty big name in the game, enhanced by his stints on talk sport.
-
Probably a fair assumption / theory. Ultimately, if we drop, our value decreases even further. Sounds like Finances are probably worse than most of us feared, which isn’t great going into a summer window where we need some much needed investment into the squad. I like Jordan, I think he talks a lot of sense. He’s been around and failed (learn from mistakes etc.), but who knows how serious the buyers are.

The playbook, The new black box. It was just a presentation around each role within the squad so that players were getting tactical instructions whilst at hole during lockdown. Nothing special, nothing that a new manager can’t write and or amend. The club have ‘allegedly’ decided that we will be going forward with a similar philosophy (High tempo, high pressing, developing youth). Any new appointment will be in this mould, so ‘the play book’ shouldn’t need to change much.

I was very much Puel out and I’d probably prefer Ralph even still. However, now isn’t the time to start arguing that Puel’s record wasn’t better, you’re on a hiding to nothing.
-
Sol Campbell please and another 2 years of entertainment from them. They’d be a good fit for each other. A deluded club with a deluded bloke in charge of them. Fantastic stuff.
-
Fair enough but do you not thinking allowing 1 will then send a message to some that they can act as they like and encourage more and more breaches of lockdown rules...?
-
Fair enough. Assume you’d support that they’d take the same approach to house parties and kids playing football down the park then?

Yep. I also read he’s looking at the top Job rather another number 2, but now true that is I don’t know as he’s gone in at Sheff Utd as no 2. A change would probably be good for Howe anyway, Sir Alex regularly changed his no2 over his tenure, it’s a way of keeping things fresh and keeping up with the modern game, without the instability of changing clubs. Howe is a weird one though, Bournemouth spent a fortune don’t get me wrong, but it’s hard to say that he didn’t do a fantastic job there. I’m a bit surprised he’s not been snapped up if I’m honest, but I think he’s lack of wanting to be too far away from Bournemouth is probably a factor. Personally, I wouldn’t have him, I don’t like what he done in the transfer market in his later years (we simply can’t afford that, although he wouldn’t be given as much free reign, I suppose) and he left there dressing room a bit of a mess, which worries me about how he’d handle ours.. which is already a mess. Although, that being said, I am coming around to the idea. His style, philosophy and formation is similar to that of Ralph’s. It wouldn’t take a huge amount of adjustment and perhaps some fresh ideas would help us click again in the final 3rd - Tick Generally speaking, he’s pretty good at working with, coaching and developing younger players - Tick Experienced in heavy involvement in how the club is run - Tick Knows the league and I don’t think he’d be too expensive or demand a war chest that perhaps a decent manager from Europe would - Tick I suspect he’d probably be looking for a project, rather than a quick fix to progress - Tick (I guess) I guess looking at where we’re at currently, if we sack Ralph, we can’t be too snobby about the replacement. Howe (in terms of reputation) is probably about the best we could realistically expect.

5 minutes is enough to tell that he’s an absolute donkey. Painfully bad first touch, not quick enough to make up for it, not sure what he offers to be honest.
-
A honest suggestion here. If I was Ralph, I’d be going over to France on hands and knee’s trying to bring Fonte back to the club. Probably slightly too old to be an impact on the pitch, although I’m not sure he’d be any worse than bednerak atm, but his influence in the dressing room would be second to none. Currently captain on Lille who are going to win the french league. Other than VVD, we’ve not had a leader since we let this bloke walk out the club (a big reason that Puel lost the dressing room btw). The epitome of hard work. Knows the club. A club legend, regardless of how it ended. And would certainly help sure you our defence, even if that’s in a coaching / advice capacity. Had he not left, he’d have been a dead cert for a coaching role. I’d love to see him become our manager one day, assuming he goes down that path.

Save it, then select ‘add files’ at the bottom.. assuming you’re on iPhone.

The all-new relegation prices thread (2020/21 edition)
SKD replied to tisspahars's topic in The Saints
There’s some value in that to be honest, I can see it decreasing when we fail to beat Burnley. I think we’ll have enough, but might be worth a few quid on 33/1
