Absolutely spot on. I was no fan of Puel, I didn’t like his football and wanted in gone. Happy to admit in hindsight that was probably the wrong decision, had I known the shite that would follow. However, you’d have to say that Puel is a more successful manager for this club than Ralph.
-
If we had someone like Steve Bruce in charge and not a foreign ‘hipster’ choice like Ralph, then many, many more would be calling for his head after the recent run and 2 9-0 defeats. To be honest, I’m still struggling to see the ‘bigger picture’. We’re still bang average with a terrible defence and a very good striker. When said striker is out of form or out injured, we’re absolutely dog shit. I’d argue the bigger picture is our striker and not the manager.

In fairness having just watched back again, there is a very slight pull back. You’ve seen them given, but I think it was strength that got the attacker ahead of KWP rather than the possible foul. Had the foul been given, I think it would have been very soft, but you’ve seen them given. No saints players complained including KWP, which often is a signal.
-
It wouldn’t have been ignored. It would have formed part of the VAR check (build up not the actual foul, which is why the ref didn’t see it). They didn’t see it as enough to be a foul. Personally, I agree with them.
-
Absolutely no foul on KWP. If that was the other way round, you’d be fuming if it wasn’t given. Both players had hands on each other, the attacker was just stronger.
-
In fairness, you can’t blame the manager for that. Ings aside (maybe Armstrong) our attacking players just aren’t natural goal scorers. The defence is absolutely something we can criticise the manager over though. It a big concern. It’s absolutely garbage. Obviously we don’t see what is going on in training, but Ralph’s reluctance to drop Bednerak is a worry for me.

Asking the mods to ban you 😂 Just pointing out that you’re a banned user back to your old tricks. There’s a reason you were banned in the first place and you’re doing the same thing. The forum was a better place without you. If you’re not always, you’ve got nothing to worry about. Have you.

The exact same day as the previous posters last post? The exact same posting style? Pretty similar happy clapping mentality? How many coincidences until they are no longer a coincidence.....
-
The irony is, if you go through his posts, you’ll find he’s the one that starts the arguments every time...
-
Yep, vestergaard and Salisu has the fundamentals to be a pretty decent partnership.. assuming JV can adapt to play on the right hand side.
-
I agree, other than the first 20 minutes, which were appalling, we were very good. Ings pretty much single handily brought us back into the game though, imo. My point was more that if we didn’t have his extra bit of quality, I don’t think we score 3 goals today.
-
Agree with this. Although it does upset the balance of the team given vestergaard prefers the left hand. Bednerak gets an easy ride of things imo. Pretty average player.
-
I do tend to agree with this. Having a player of ings class got us off the hook today. Defensively were an absolute shambles. That second goal was Sunday league style. Very poor

Rules are rules pal.
-
Cool. My opinion, they were the much better team and all over us for the first 20. if you don’t think that, then you do you. I don’t care.
-
First 20 minutes it was.
-
You don’t think that being 2-0 down to Burnley and that start today was shocking? Argumentative agenda getting in the way of reality, typical.
-
Yep. He’s been largely poor this season, but the difference between a win today or an embarrassing defeat. Maybe seeing his England Spot disappearing gave him a kick up the arse.
-
The reactions on page 6 may be funny, but the funniest thing in the match thread is people trying to claim that wasn’t a penalty 😂😂😂😂
-
We know, we’re usually the ones who throw it away.
-
Yes. Credit where it’s due, a very good performance after going 2 down.
-
Yes of course and hindsight I should have. A good turn around. Usually us on the other end of those.
-
Agree, 1 bad game from KWP is acceptable. Burnley are a big physical team, he isn’t. If I remember rightly he struggled against them last season as well. Bednerak has been poor for a few months now, coincidently since being throw into the wolves at RB
