  1. Absolute heads gone and perfectly fitting for the thread 😂😂😂 There’s a brilliant exchange between him and MLG in there somewhere. Unlikely I know, but I really hope, for his own sake, that the similarities between ‘chapel end’ and ‘Always’ are just a strange coincidence. Especially seeing that and after all the names (weirdo, stalker, obsessed etc.) he’s called me recently.
  2. Agree. I signed up when they had deals on last season and that Anka was the bloke who covered us. I appreciate it can be hard to find a story with a club like us, but at least he provided some Very good in depth tactical reports which made good reading. I doubt I’ll renew my sub when it’s up in a months time.
  3. It also closes the gap between the big 6 and everyone else. If it’s a closed group, what’s the point in everyone outside competing? Anyway, West Ham and Leicester already have extra resources to pull away from us... as shown.
  4. You’d have to assume that he’d have to significantly reduce his wage demand. I don’t think he’s the greatest player, but clearly a good influence around the club who can still make an impact. Good for younger players, like Tella, to look up to. (Assume salary is reduced) On a free, I wouldn’t be aganist us signing him permanently, although more of a back up rather than first choice.
  5. Do you not think that a couple of non ‘traditional’ top 4 teams getting into the top 4 is a good thing, for a club like us then?
  6. Is that actually his Twitter feed? 😂😂😂 Love of using the word ‘Cretin’ - Another similarity between ‘Chapel End’ and Always_sfc.... Just a coincidence though, I’m sure.
  7. “As is commonly known about Southampton, they are a club who need to sell players to raise funds — and that won’t be any different this summer. The MSD Capital loan, which totals £78.8 million, can be used on new signings but maybe isn’t best utilised to fund a summer spending spree. The hope is that finances will be raised from the likes of Wesley Hoedt andMario Lemina, currently on loan at Lazio and Fulham respectively, being sold.”
  8. Sounds promising in that they know where we need to strengthen but look a bit deeper it sounds grim. If we’re relying on selling Lemina and Hoedt to raise enough funds for a striker and full back cover, we’re in for a surprise. Reality is, we’ll likely have to sell Ings if we want to strengthen and we’ll replace him with a young lad who’s unproven and has ‘potential’. Im very concerned for next season.
  9. Surprising stat, not one you’d expect from a big Sam team. Do you have the break down from before / after Big Sam? I don’t know if that changes the view of that. Expect this to be a tough game, they’ve got some Half decent attacking players. A good test for us.
  10. No ‘insurance bet’ on West Brom this time round?
  11. Being disgruntled with being 2-0 down inside 20 minutes, isn’t really banging on. However, let’s leave it here before another thread ruined ☺️ Great win.
  12. Cool. Just like in a stadium, as long as it’s legal and moral, if you’ve paid your money your entitled to an opinion.
  13. I never said you did and to throw it back at you, I didn’t mention you either ☺️
  14. Valery is crap, granted. But he’s significantly better than Bednerak and stephens at RB.
  15. We’ve only won from being 2-0 down once since 2016. So yes, it’s pretty realistic to suggest we wouldn’t win this one. But we did, so it’s irrelevant and long May that be the case we turn it around.
  16. 😂😂😂
  17. Do you think people making comments on a fans forum has any impact on the game? fair play for keeping the faith. You’re obviously an optimist, I’m a realist. However, even a broken clock is right 2 times a day. Enjoy your day in the sunshine, 9/10 You’ll be wrong.
  18. Because people are picking at comments made when we’re were 2-0 down and at the time justified comments. But agree, great win full focus on the FA cup now.
  19. No, to be honest we think all 3 are shit.
  20. Other than reaching a cup semi final, what has there to be positive about in 2021? Relegation form a couple of absolute pastings. Challenging the narrative may seem negative, but is completely just given the recent run of form. Fair play to the team, they showed a bit of fight for once and managed to turn it around. I’m as surprised as everyone else, it’s certainly a pleasant surprise. Should we be going 2-0 Down to Burnley. No. That second goal was shambolic defending, but the other 70 odd minutes are something to build On I guess.
  21. There is absolutely nothing positive about being 2-0 down at home to Burnley. Anyone who claims they could see us turning it around at that point is lying.
  22. One could argue that expecting us to come back from 2 down, especially with our recent form, is unrealistic. A lot of happy clappers claiming they’re some kind of genius who can foresee the future. The face that the last time we came back from 2 down was 2016 (or somewhen), I think it’s fair to suggest at the time that we had lost the game. Absolutely at 2-0 Down and that start, people should be questioning what the hell is going on.
  23. Always and Glasgow making a return to bring the SWF back to its glory days.
  24. 35% isn’t most of the time.... (MLG mode) The injuries are partially fault of the manager. He continued to play a high intensity game with a packed schedule and tired players. He needs to adapt his methods.
  25. Does it? Ralphs win % is something like 35% and gone on a run of 2 wins in 13 games...
