  1. Wild card option and 1 Ralph wouldn’t entertain as it’s not his 4222 formation, but I’d mix it up and go 433 try and gain a bit of control in the middle of the park. We’re getting over ran in there at the minute and I think their 3 will Be too good for us in there. Forster KWP Vestergaard Salisu Bertrand Armstrong Diallo JWP Redmond Ings Djenepo
  2. 2 league wins in 15 (1 of those wins being Sheff Utd who get beat by everyone and the other Ings dragged us out the mud). The statistics would suggest that if we carry on this form, we’ll be relegated by Christmas. Every club has had injuries, I’m not buying that as an excuse for only winning 2 games, one of which was against 9 men, in the last 15. You can waffle on as much as you’d like about ‘statistics’ ‘datasets’ etc. to back up your inability to see his underlying flaws, but to anyone watching games it’s clear we are diabolical and there’s absolutely nothing to suggest we’ll turn that around. In fact, I actually think we’re getting worse. Has it crossed your mind that perhaps Ralph’s plan has been figured out and he is tactically not astute enough and / or too stubborn to counter or change things? We’re effectively just chucking out the same 12/13 blokes without actually trying to change style or formation. We’re getting overran in the middle, struggling to break teams down and all over the place at the back. It’s No wonder we’re losing games. From what I’ve seen the second half this season, I would be absolutely amazed if Ralph lasts until this time next season unless something pretty fundamental changes (I.e a new owner with a shit load of money in the summer, a new coach helping change the style).
  3. It’s clearly viewed more than the ‘last game’, but 15 games is a significant chunk of a season in which we have been absolutely diabolical including a record equalling defeat within that time and some other very heavy and poor defeats. Bad results are 1 thing and ultimately football is a results driven game, however, performances have been very, very concerning. Failing to beat a 9 men Newcastle and getting ripped apart from West Brom are just 2 of those which are most worrying. What I can’t tell is at what point you’d consider Ralph to be under pressure. 15 games, nearly half a season, we’ve shown relegation form. At what point does enough become enough? Another 10? Another 20? If we fail to win another game for the rest of the season (seriously not a inconceivable thought given how we’ve played) would you consider that to be enough of a ‘dataset’? We have a full squad available, absolutely no excuses now. For as long as we’re in the FA cup, I think Ralph should be kept in the job. I have absolutely no faith that we’ll win Sunday though and I think for me, I’ll be 100% Ralph out following that.
  4. Because our manager knows 1 way and 1 way only to set us up. Looking at what we’ve got, a back 3 probably wouldn’t be a bad choice. No way he’ll change it though.
  5. But that is exactly how football works. A good run of form saw him linked with top jobs such as United and Chelsea and a poor run linked with getting the boot. In football, you’re only as good as your last game. He’s a lucky man to survive 1, let alone 2, 9-0 defeats (he handed in his resignation after the first one, that just shows how bad the result in isolation is). There are some clear fundamental flaws with Ralph and I don’t see any sign that they will change. Unless we have a re jig of the backroom Staff with some fresh ideas. His inability to set up a defence is a huge concern. Ralph has been given enough credit points now. They’re slowly running out if they haven’t already. Also, don’t bang on like you’re some long term visionary. You write off Howe for 1 poor season seemingly forgetting the other 10 great ones he had at Bournemouth. The reality is, you like Ralph, he’s a trendy choice and that’s made your mind up he’s the man for us despite some fundamental underlying issues.
  6. Yep completely different. That’ll be the compensation cost should a certain team come in for him, although I even doubt that £20m figure as it seems very, very high.
  7. £20m!? Jesus, we’re in balls deep with Ralph then aren’t we. Who in the hell agreed to that.
  8. He doesn’t. He hasn’t a clue what get our clauses both sides have. What you’ve said is probably right, there is most likely an agreed figure / time built in the contract as a get out.
  9. Play KWP Salisu Vestergaard JWP Diallo Ings pick the rest and the formation out of a hat and hope for the best. I’m going for a 3-0 defeat.
  10. The highest winning margin was Newcastle United's 6–0 victory over Fulham in the 1908 Anfield FA Cup semi-final. Manchester City claim joint-biggest win ever in FA Cup history with 6-0 drubbing of Watford at Wembley. Manchester City have claimed the joint-biggest win ever in 7-0, which shockingly wouldn’t be a surprise, is another record for Ralph.
  11. Perhaps this is the issue. We’re not pressing as intensely, but defensively we’re not set up solid enough to counter that and we’re getting picked apart? Either way, it’s a dire watch and has been for months now.
  12. Was it? We had more of the ball because West Brom sat back. We didn’t look like scoring and only really had any threat when djenepo came on with about 5 minutes left.
  13. It makes no sense. Even if he was leaving, give him game time and it’ll increase his value. It’s just the manager being a stubborn prick. Pathetic and shambolic. It might turn out that he’s not be any good, but he’d have done a better job than Diallo today.
  14. Is that how it works on here? Ban people for negative comments and reviews... a bit North Korea if you ask me. Clearly a tongue in cheek comment, if the people can’t handle it, then that’s their fault not mine... ironically as much as it was tongue in cheek, West Brom could have score nine today, so I do fear what a decent side could do to us 😊
  15. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we didn’t win another game all season tbh.
  16. I mean 15 games of this shit now. People have had enough, it’s not about being incapable of being level headed, it’s a fair judgement of our current situation, which isn’t good enough.
  17. Cheers bud. At this point, I just find it laughable how poor we are. It’d be pretty funny if we got beat 9-0 again though, wouldn’t it. Were shit, we know we’re shit, might as well laugh about it. It’s not the be all or end all. (disclaimer: obviously I’d prefer a win, that’s just very unlikely).
  18. It’s not my job to improve things. I don’t get paid millions and spend days watching these play. However, it’s pretty evident that his preferred formation / style isn’t working at the moment. Id try going 433 (moving Armstrong into the middle) and sit deeper and press less intensely to make us a little more solid defensively and maybe play on the counter attack. Not pretty, but if it grinds out results to turn form, then it’s worth trying. Id certainly be making changes before the 80th minute or whenever it was today. Who would I bring in to replace Ralph? Again, I’m not paid to make that decision. I really like Potter at Brighton (he’ll be England manager one day). I think if they had a striker like ings, they’d be top 10 this season. Frank a Brentford is also good, then there are a host of decent European managers who are unemployed. I’m not a huge fan of Howe, but I think as things stand, he’d do a better job than Ralph (I mean it’s impossible not to).
  19. Go on saints, if we’re gonna lose let’s get the record defeat at Wembley.
  20. Go on then. Back it up with evidence please sir. A massively subjective statement. Win % and league position would suggest he’s very average.
  21. Absolutely nothing to back that statement up. But even if he is a good manager, that doesn’t mean he’s the right man for us.
  22. 2 record defeats. Highest amount of goals conceded. 2 wins in 14 far out weigh a good 2020.
  23. Only because of a purple patch at the start of the season. Since November, we’re bottom 2 for form and look fucking appalling. At what point next season do you consider us to be ‘in danger’?
  24. He’d jump at the chance. He’ll be at us or palace next season, I suspect.
  25. But most of those wins have come from a purple patch over 2 seasons (of which were very much dependant on fitness due to stop / start season and shorter pre-season because of covid) so it doesn’t equate that 45 points or mid table. We’re defensively very, very poor. Look like we could concede 9 every game. Hardly look like scoring and even less so when ings isn’t playing. No real fight and no signs it’ll change. Too slow to react in game, often start games slow as well. To be honest, I can’t believe anyone can still defend him.
