Rice is the stand out, probably along with Henderson (is he injured??) and Mount making up the 3. That’s a pretty solid midfield to be honest, I think they’d compliment each other pretty well.

He’s half decent on the ball (sort of the minimum you’d expect from a premier league player), but agree, average. Id put him as same bracket as JWP, if I’m honest.

I guess the issue is 1. Does a player like Michael Scensson want to coach. 2. just because he was a good defender, can he actually coach? Not always guaranteed. I’m not sure it’s coaching that’s the issue, it’s more than Ralph has seemingly little to no help tactically. Maybe he wants that, if he does, then more fool him. He needs a number 2, imo.

We weren’t at the races second half in general I thought. First half we looked good, very good, but at 0-0 it was inevitable we’d go on to lose.

Yeah odd. I’m sure we were seeing them at the start of the season. Taking a common sense approach now fans are back (I.e trying to limit the delay in restart?) I hope so, but odd to change mid way through the season.

Yep. PGMOL are Encouraging players to dive, you can’t complain when they do.

Tonight shows how important Ings is to us. If he was playing, we’d be out of sight by now.

Yep, we play a very narrow system. The full backs seem to take up the wide space (well down the right anyway) and Che takes up the space in the traditional 10.

Been a very good and enjoyable 30 minutes. We’ll do well to keep this intensity up for the full 90 though. The 2 wide men in Djenepo and Theo been ineffective (unsurprisingly, I guess). For all our good play, without ings, we’re very toothless.

Not for me, defender just a bit stronger in a shoulder to shoulder.

I don’t know if it’s having the fans back in the ground and the natural atmosphere, but this is one of the most enjoyable games I can remember for a long time.
