I know, however start waving them at football and see the reaction... all of a sudden the link between a gesture and political organisation / movement will suddenly be realised by some.
-
By that logic, I’m guessing that James O’Brien (never heard of him but the most boring patronising voice I’ve ever heard btw), if fans come out and said this gesture is for anti racism, would have no issue with fans waving a swastika and Saluting before the game.

£15m!? 😂

Ramprakash is talking shit about the ‘toxic’ dressing room if Archer and Ali had been In there. Archer and Robinson are teammates at Sussex, he’ll know more than anyone that he’s not a racist. The tweets are only borderline (stretching) racist at worst. I’m sure he could say all of that to Archer and Ali and neither would be in the slightest bit offended. The poor bloke is being hung out to dry. Pathetic. For those that haven’t seen them, here we go.

You’re just simply Ignoring why people are booing and making up some fantasy that everyone hates black people. Part. Of. The. Problem. As I’ve said previously, it’s a pointless debate / thread that’ll go round and round who no one achieving anything.
-
Depends what equality you’re after. Equality is a very, very vague terminology and in its purest form simply not achievable. Do I think the UK is fundamentally racist? Absolutely not. Are their racists with society? Of course, like there are people of colour who probably hate the UK and white people. There are cunts in all form of race, life etc. Who’d have thought it.
-
When did I say they were? However The fundamental outcome of Socialism and communism is ‘equality’. Well done for trying though buddy.
-
Cool, if mr Rashford (or insert any other black premier league player) wants to donate some of his millions in aid of ‘equality’ he’s more than welcome to ping me some.
-
What do you define as equality? Given that we don’t really have equality in any form of life.
-
Isn’t that effectively socialism / communism / Marxist (however you want to label it) 😃

Whilst were here, I may as well open the can of worms. Was George Floyd’s death racially motivated or just over aggressive American policing? I’ve not seen anything to suggest that it was racially motivated. If we’re honest and reports of his past are true, Mr Floyd (whilst clearly didn’t deserve to die), wasn’t a very nice bloke. Why do BLM use him as a head figure? As I understand the officer in question has been charged with Murder, what further justice do they want for him? Why don’t they include a page in memory of every single young black male who’s been attacked with a machete on the streets of London? That page is race baiting and only including stories which suit their agenda.

If the premier league and FA came out with a new campaign to replace, let’s say the poppy or help for hero’s (arguments sake) called, English Defence League (EDL) and stood in solidarity before each game for this. But made it clear it wasn’t linked to the actual EDL and was to purely show support for our hero’s... How would the ‘non gammon’ feel about that? I highly suspect they’d change their tune around the name links then.
-
And there is absolutely no other way of demonstrating anti-racism than to use a campaign name and gesture that has extremely questionable links?
-
Ignore him, just another weird wokeist it seems. The user name certainly checks out. Absolutely nothing wrong with your comment and your 100% correct.

The trouble is, how many times have we seen this season where a player has been honest, stayed on their feet and not been given a penalty as a result? I remember it happening twice against us alone (Foden and Bamford). Then there is martial, where it was clearly a dive but the smallest (if any) contact was given as a penalty. PGMOL are simply encouraging players to dive and ‘cheat’. Having seen it first hand against us, I don’t blame players for ‘cheating’ if I’m honest.

I mean they literally had Black Lives Matter on the back of their shirts when this all started. Is it any wonder why people associate ‘The Knee’ with Black Lives Matter? A movement which had people burning flags vandalising statues etc. in its name, by the way. Its really not rocket science, if they had any sense, they’d use a separate gesture that is completely unrelated to Black Lives Matter and the issue goes away. The issue is, football has backed itself into a corner. They don’t even know what they’re doing it for now it’s just seen as the thing to do.
-
Yep, without a doubt. Good players (like actual good players who make a difference) cost money, much more than the 10-15m were apparently willing to spend. Of course you’ll Have an anomaly within that, but I’m talking generally. It’s why we’ve regressed to the state we’re in, a lot of pretty average players.
-
It only takes a season when you have a decent window and invest some money. They spent big on players like Watkins, Martinez and Barkley (appreciate he’s only a loan, but it was an expensive deal) and they’ve all been decent. This summer they’ve already spent big on Bunedia whilst weve scraping the bargain barrel and getting ‘rough diamonds’. Reality is, they’re more of a bag of shit than a bag of rough diamonds.
-
I doubt Villa will be a relegation rival next season, to be honest. We’ll be competing with Norwich, Brentford, Burnley etc. I can see Villa being comfortable mid-table. The fact they even think they have a chance at buying our best players really shows how far the club has regressed in past years. Shocking management of the club.

As do 99.9% of the country mate, What do you want for your groundbreaking opinion, A fucking medal? The difference is, some of us don’t need to bend over backwards to desperately prove we don’t have an irrational hate for minorities. Believe it or not, you can be for inclusion and against racism without having to be offended (on other people’s behalf) by absolutely everything. For some, Black Lives Matter creates more division than it solves, is linked to violent protest and has political left wing undertones. Without going into details and throwing the thread off subject which has been done to death, we’ve clearly established that You and others don’t think their is, some do. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and has the right to boo as much as they have the right to support it. You can call names and whine however much you like, you’re not going to change peoples perspective. It’s a pointless argument. For me, the fact that some do find issues with it (highlighted above), would suggest that using BLM name and an act associated with BLM as a campaign is foolish and needs to go. Bring back ‘kick it out’ remove the knee removes the discussion / issues 👍🏻
-
I actually thought the one about Gary speed was the worst, but obviously that has no racial undertones, so doesn’t make headlines.
-
Loosely agree around injured players. But Yes, they do and that’s Not even debatable. They’re clearly not fucking shite either, are they.
-
You laugh and mock, but the fact that there is even debate around a campaign that should have 0 debate, just goes to show how stupid it is and how stupid the FA / PL are for lapping it up.
-
Fair enough, a shame as you’ve said, as a black guy (from what I’ve seen a seeming pretty level headed one at that), I respect your opinion on the matter and I think your opinion is significantly more powerful than the white folk who are outraged on your behalf.
-
Are you on a wind up? That is 100% real 😂 Assume you think this is a photoshop as well...
