There's parking at the holiday inn directly opposite the ground and next to the Harvester to grab a pint.

Out of interest, does anyone think the club are wrong to not offer Jose an extended contract? Personally if true that the club have offered him a pay rise (I would imagine to maintain highest paid player as captain) they've done the right thing. He's 33 next week and he's arguably only got 1 or 2 seasons left in him at this level, the last thing we want or need is someone sat on the bench at c.80k a week for 2 or 3 years. IMO what Les should be doing is, if this time next year he is still performing at the level required, offer him a 1 year extension. A little like how Chelsea do to players who are 30+.

We won't sell without a replacement. Why would our team be weaker? Generally we are pretty good at finding CB's!
-
We wont buy Morgan. Doubt we are even interested.

This happens every time we play a big club in Itchen North. Usually block 2 is the worst for it as that tends to be where away fans are located in boxes. Seen a numerous amount of scuffles due to 'away fans' being in the home end and celebrating when scoring.
-
Kat, is that you?
-
what would it be changed to? As far as I was aware we are still called Southampton football club.
-
Until he gets injured brushing his teeth and then we're right back to where we started. Good player, but very lazy, a long sickness record and I'd imagine a questionable attitude..... No Thanks. A West Ham type player.
-
Can we pretend that we would have? Besiktas, no thanks....

Manji and his pals appear to believe that every Israeli is responsible for the political difficulties between Israel and Palestine.
-
Is it really that hard to understand? Have you just admitted that your lot brought Palestinian flags to the game with the sole purpose to insight Israeli fans (who could have been Muslim and almost certainly do not have any involvement in Israeli / Palestinian politics). I wouldn't say they acted 'belligerently' at all. If it was the other way round, saints fans would have been the same, if not worse. In fact having been to all 3, the Israeli's were the friendliest I met. Thankfully the awful performance meant that people played no attention to people like you.
-
Yep, cannot believe the club allowed this. Thankfully it was only a very small number of people and the majority of saints fans (from what I saw) just ignored these idiots.
-
Personally I think we could do with 2. We have been crying out for another striker even before Austin's injury. For me, I'd ship J Rod off and bring in Berahino (longer term replacement) and a big lad who can hold the ball up.

The simple matter is, if we want to progress we need money. Kat isn't providing said money. She &a Markus have done an incredible job (I wander how different things would have been if he was still around), but as a fan who invests 100's if not 1000's into the club every year, is it not fair to expect want to progress. We've been lucky the last 2 seasons but it only takes 1 or 2 bad windows for that to change.

Thanks for everything... you and your father will have a massive part in our clubs history but it's starting to hold us back. If this lack of investment / ambition continues for 2 or 3 years, all the hard work in the last 7 could be wasted. There's no hiding the fact that in the PL you need to invest to maintain position, let alone improve. Hopefully when she does sell it goes to someone with the best intentions for the club. Not one to bedwet but in reality our business model is not sustainable if we want to consistently be a top 10+ club.

You've hit the nail on the head mate. I don't know if it's the boring football or the fact I have no affiliation to any of the players any more (knowing they will go after 1 decent season), but i'm seriously considering not renewing my ST next year (2 or 3 years ago I never thought I see the day). Maybe a relegation scrap is just what we need.
-
come on mate. Very good. Okay at best? Agree at the time a point seemed a decent result (we certainly didn't deserve to win) and it was a difficult place to go but we should have walked that group. Maybe i'm just bitter after spending 1000's and travelling c.5000 to not see us score in the last 4 European away fixtures. Inter were absolutely awful, Prague not much better. A decent performance in either of them games and VVD not missing from 5 yards (against HBS & Inter) and we'd have been in the next round, most likely as group winners. Our attitude towards this competition in the last 2 seasons has been an absolute joke.
-
Neither would have Puel if we had to go through 2 qualifying rounds. We were sh!te away from home in all 3 legs. But arguably Koeman did get us to the group stage by us finishing where we did last season.

We've been playing 4-3-3 for months. Why do people keep blaming the diamond -
I don't care if he's playing in a wheelchair, he'll still offer more than Redmond...
-
We have a strategy.... buy cheap, sell (what we think is, but in reality isn't) high and hope we get lucky. Not sure this is either Puel's or Reeds fault, more that Kat doesn't want to invest (if this is the case, which it clearly is, it's time for her to sell as our value will only decrease). Our luck has ran out and I'm not convinced on Ross Wilson either. A long season ahead I suspect.

Why has no one filled this cu*t in yet. Given our performance tonight I'd have expected some reaction twards him. Why does he think it's funny? -
The worse thing is, he wouldn't even leave them for us.
-
Mancini. Knows the league and will certainly install some passion into the players. Not usually one to overreact and I actually like Puel (other than his boring negative football) however it's not acceptable for us to have not qualified from that group and someone needs answer for how poor we've been this season.
