  1. Looking for 1 for my brother as looking a bit desperate. 5 aways 2 home (including Israel..) struggled to make home games this year due to being at uni.
  2. Looking at your recent posts I very much doubt you know anything about this so won't get excited just yet.
  3. Some very good teams? We played 3 reserve teams and 1 that currently can't buy a win. This cup run has just papered over what has been a poor season. Let's say Arsenal had put out full strength team and knocked us out, would you be happy with this season? I suspect not. Of course we've had some good games (I'd say about 5 or 6), however we've had more that we haven't. Hence our position in the league. I guess it comes down to what you perceive as playing well. For me, it's an attacking high tempo style which I have seen very rarely this year.
  4. Yes we have. We failed to get out of or register an away win in a very average EL group. This seems to just be forgotten. We generally seem to put in 1 good performance every 5 or so games. On the whole, we have been very poor this season.
  5. Possibly... but we've been sh!te all season so probably not.

So you're happy with how the team have performed this year?
  7. Why are you always so pedantic
  8. This. we have (imo) one of the best songs about a footballer to date (He's our Cedric) and the Northam spastics even manage to **** that up by singing far to fast and clapping like lunatics. Fortunately didn't hear the one for Gabbiandini
  9. The club will have an indication of how much he wants before they put him through and waste money on a medical.
  10. that's very much how I would see it. He obviously hasn't just been sat around doing nothing whilst he's not been at a club, so he'll be physically fit, it's just the match sharpness he'll be lacking. Given our current situation, I'd argue he only needs to be half match fit to improve our back 4.
  11. agree - even just to have around the squad... Think how much someone like Reed or Clasie could learn from Essien.
  12. yep - that way it gives everyone a chance should we get to a final and also rewards those who cannot for whatever reason get a ST or make every home game.
  13. football isn't played on paper. He's not played for a while (no real indication on how well he's recovered from his injury) and a shorter contract lessens the risk of having someone sat on the bench on reasonable wages.

no one can deny that Claude is a top bloke (or at least comes across that way) and yes imo he has handled himself with class given the challenges he's faced, but that doesn't get results. Loose to Sunderland (which given our away and current form this season, is highly likely) and they'll only be 5 points behind us. How anyone can say we're not in a relegation battle is beyond me. Completely appreciate that 2 or 3 wins will see us safe however it's hard to see where these wins are coming from. Other than a cup final (which has papered over the cracks) this season has been terrible. Even that imo isn't as big of an achievement as some have made out (Palace, Sunderland & Arsenal all had reserves out and Liverpool are just utter sh!te atm). I'm desperate for Claude to turn things around, but I just can't see it happening. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I can see us being in the same, if not worse position next year and some of our fan base just seem to accept this.
  15. Personally I'd give him 18 month deal (up until the end of next season) as no matter how bad he is, I'm not sure he'll be any worse than Martina as cover at RB.
  16. Rubbish, we done okay last year without Schneiderlin. For some reason Wanyama is awfully underrated on here (and by most saints fans in general) but along with Kante is the best holding / defensive midfielder in the country. Romeu has been fantastic this year and is our level, wanyama isn't. Wouldn't be surprised to see us add in this position in the summer as we look a little think on the ground
  17. Probably more that his wages failed to impress tbf

    Recent form

We played the dimond for about 3 games.. it's changed to 4-3-3(les favoured formation.....)

    Recent form

Provide evidence that this is not the team that les wants. He's not hidden the fact that he likes the 4-3-3 formation... what are we playing? What did Claude play last year? (Appreciate you've got to play different formations that suit x players...)

    Recent form

Gabbi looked okay however and we're in a cup final (paper over their cracks)

    Recent form

Build for what? We arguably had the best chance to build to consolidate our position in the top 6 and we've let it go. IMO Claude is a yes man to les. Not playing the formation he wants , not playing the team he wants (hence rotation). If you don't think we're in a relegation battle you're deluded. I think we have enough to stay up this year, but you've got to look at the bigger picture... I hope Claude does well but he's failing to show me that he can ATM.....0

    Recent form

Time for Claude to go before we're dragged into a relegation battle (if we're not already in one) Even the win at Liverpool looks **** given their recent form.
  23. ****ing ****e both of them susgestions....
  24. Nope. Why would upping the buying price increase the likely hood of the player wanting to go there? When they can discuss terms after they've met clause? If The above was to happen, the player would have 2 choices.... Pick which club he favours (if wages are the same then club could always make offer more attractive in other ways like increasing the players signing on fee) Stay at current club I'll say it again if someone has a release clause, at no point would there be a bidding war or would any (sensible) club bid over what is an acceptable bid (as stated in contract as part of release clause). FFS it's really not difficult
  25. No, in Suarez case this is correct but if a player has a release clause then, assuming the player wants to leave, the club has to sell if that fee is met. Really don't see why this is so hard to grasp.
