Puel wouldn't have us in a final if it wasn't for a moment of magic from Boufal... Was it also them that got us to our highest ever PL finish? I forgot to thank them. I'm a competitive person, football is a competitive game but I tell you what, lets celebrate being second best in a competition that generally no one wants to be in (nearly every PL team will put out a weakened team) until the semi final, and having a sh!t season. IF we win, then I will give credit to Puel. Jose generally doesn't lose finals and United are showing signs of being their former selves. IMO he needs to win this to save our season (unless we have a freak run of results like last year under RK).

We weren't as consistently sh!t as we currently are under them though were we.... Koeman failed in Europe and cups (I was at both Midtjylland & Sheff Utd defeats and trust me, no one would have been anymore p!ssed off than me them days) but got us into Europe and improved on league position on 2 separate occasions. I'm not trying to take away the fact that we are in a final, i'm just saying don't go to OTT in getting there as it'll mean nothing if we don't win it and finish bottom half.

Unfortunately this will be the case. Sounds silly as it's 'our song' but I actually hate that song now. I should be sung before the game (a little like you'll never walk alone) after a goal and 5 minutes before the end to spur the team on.

I missed out on tickets there as well. However I will be finding a friend who has a ticket there and squeezing in with him. The seats at Wembley are big enough (especially given we usually get 2 or 3 to a seat at an away game) and none of us are on the large side. If anyone moans about standing / singing then they deserve to be kicked out from that area - hopefully it's self managed by fans within that block.

You're completely missing the point that Poch and to some degree Koeman had very little interest in the cups (especially the EFL cup) and played under strength teams like we have had against us this year. But if you think that failing in the league and Europe is okay because we've beaten 3 reserve teams and a team that can't buy a win (in all fairness happy to accept that Liverpool was a good result as poor as they current are, they should have had enough to beat us), then that's up to you. Personally, I'm not happy with it. Lets hope we win it and stay up as it may help get fans (the ones that currently doubt him) back on Puels side.

You'll get shot down as a troll for this, but it's comptley true. Granted Liverpool played a strong team, however they had 2 massive fixtures after both of our games (1 eye on this?) and they are absolute **** at the moment. Unless we win it, getting there is not an achievement and shouldn't be celebrated. It's a shame that fans expectation has drop so low in that it has been. However, In reality Puel will not be sacked this season and probably not until this time next year if we're still struggling so may as well get behind him.

Who said Ake would be VVD's replacement? He could be Fonte's replacement with someone else coming in to replace VVD

Next year we could (should IMO) have 4 class CB's in our squad.... Starting Place New (Fonte replacement) & New (VVD replacement) Bench Caceres & Yoshida All will then be forgotten about this window

in fairness if we wasn't riddled with injuries, he'd probably still be at Juve. Even if we only get 7 or 8 games out of him, he's a massive upgrade on what we currently have as back up at CB and RB. Whilst it is massively a panic buy, it could turn out to be an astute bit of business (as long as he can stay off the treatment table).

For his size Gallagher has some pace about him. To me, he looks like a natural goal scorer and has played on the wing for U23's a couple of years ago. I actually think he'd suit our style and would fit into a diamond. I'd say from that comment above you have seen very very little of him.

The guy in the face paint trying to be a saints version of Westwood and that younger lad who always wears the hat (& his pal who has about 3 teeth) are up there as the worst humans in the world.

if you call atmosphere stood around waving a foam finger, singing sh!t songs, acting like a din and struggling to get a beer then Wembley is your place. If you'd prefer to get a beer with your mates then go centrally. There will be 'atmosphere' wherever you go, it just depends what type of atmosphere you're after. Perhaps this is why are support is so sh!t, all the shirters burn themselves out acting like clowns before the game.

Agree - He needs to try something different as what we are currently trying isn't working. If Boufal is injured, I think Tadic would do well in the 'false 9' role. Always thought he looks better when he plays centrally.

Would be madness to sell him. I think he'll do well as cover to Austin next year who will need to be managed well given his injury record. A front 3 of Boufal - Austin - Gabbi with Tadic - Gallagher / Long - Redmond as cover is pretty strong!

On paper Sunderland and Sheff Utd are easier fixtures than Arsenal & Liverpool however Poch never took the cups seriously (and we put out our reserves like teams have against us this year) and that night in Sheffield was just as bad as anything I've seen this year, credit to them though, they played well and are a tough side to beat at their place. I'm not trying to take any credit away from Puel for getting us here, but IMO it has just papered over the cracks of a poor season. In reality unless we win the thing getting there is irrelevant, so until we win it, personally I think we've had a poor season so far.

Take the gamble to get him ready for the final and then manage him after that! Not great reading though - would also be tempted to get Mexes in as well. After all, we needed a CB to replace Fonte (Caceres) and arguably 1 to cover for VVD.

I disagree. Assuming he signs today and then trains tomorrow he'll have 2 and half weeks to embed himself in the team and can squeeze in an U23 game against Everton on 20th (6 days before the final). Whilst he hasn't been at a club I'd be very surprised if he hasn't been keeping himself fit. If he hasn't, then he doesn't strike me as very professional!
