For as long as those who don't go, suggest the 'real' fans want Puel to remain. Personally, I'd say that someone who invests in a service is more entitled to moan. Perhaps that's just me.
-
Find it strange that it hasn't been mentioned before, but as we are only 3 points behind West Brom who are 8th, does this mean we could possibly qualify for the EL next year, should we finish 8th? COYR

You've summed it up perfectly mate. I'd never boo the team or manager as some have suggested has happened, however having watched this dross all season, I've really fallen out of love with it (as well as many others who I talk to). Having invested £1000's this season following over land and sea, I'd like to think I'm in a good place to moan if I don't feel like I'm getting my monies worth.
-
For once I agree with you. Think we could pick up a win here and we need it.
-
I'm not ITK, and don't try and claim to be. Some times get given a bit of info from someone who works for the club (hence why I love MoPo as he left a lasting impression with the staff) and know a couple of players through others. 2 that want out are pretty common knowledge (Bertrand & Long) I'm not certain the other will get a move so won't mention. You can add Fonte to that list of players that want/wanted out as well this season, but he acted like a ****, so not too bothered about him.
-
A bit like our performances this season then......
-
No, I mean the players aren't happy. I know for a fact 3 want out (I've been told pretty much direct from the horses mouth) and have my suspicions about others. But I tell you what, as it's against yours & the clubs agenda... you don't have to believe me.
-
I would agree with this, however I have major concerns about next season. If it wasn't for Gabbi making an instant impact, we'd have been in trouble this season. Even he seems to have gone backwards recently, which is down to the way we play and the service he's been getting. My biggest concern is the fact the players don't appear happy.
-
I assume those who seem to think we're a certainty to finish top 10 haven't looked at the table......
-
Without checking facts, on current form with the fixtures we have, we're probably on corse to finish 16th.
-
Attend (usually) 18 away a year combined with a ST. This season, I've traveled to Israel, Milan and Prague and had to endure a pathetic performance in all 3. I'd say I'm in a pretty good position to judge past and current managers and would like to think I fall in that 'real fan' category. But perhaps not as I'm not too pleased with what's going on at the club at present (this season).
-
Wouldn't judge a defender based on a performance against us.... we don't give it to our best player and pass it side to side for 85 minutes of the game.
-
Not only today's.... we could be in big trouble next year.
-
We had an excuse for being sh!t (off field issues etc..), it wasn't just because of the manage/coaching staffr....
-
You could use this excuse if it was a handful of games in a season, but it's been 90% of ours....
-
A very good post IMO. I've not been happy with him since our awful display in Europe. Cup final brought him time (in all honesty we only played 1 decent team in the run and lost to them), but since then, we've only got worse. Injuries have played their part, but you can't blame our style of play on the injury to VVD. Let's say we give puel until Christmas and he fails... this would put the new man on back foot. Give the new man the summer to get his own players in, convince those still here to stay and have a full preseason to change the mentality of the squad.
-
Very likely IMO.
-
Which we won't win, so they are irrelevant. I predict that bmouth and Leicester will both also finish above us and possibly stoke if they beat us last game of the season.
-
You shouldn't have to rely on a penalty (in the 90th minute) to beat a team 4th from bottom, with about 5 points away from home this year. They had a chance, which if the striker had taken first time, they would have scored. We didn't win the game because we didn't create enough, we were too slow with the ball and didn't give Gabbi any service what so ever. Sound familiar? Could be one of 90% of our games this season to be honest.
-
Hypothetical question.... if we hadn't reached a cup final (not that we should celebrate this as success) would you still consider this a 'decent' or 'okay' season? For me probably not.
-
Are you kidding? In a relegation battle a point away from home is a good point. Fair play to hull, they came with a game plan (some managers do have these so take not Puel) and it worked. Lack of intensity from us. once again, an uninspiring, dull, poor performance.
-
Is it not the managers job to get the players to perform? If the players aren't performing, is that not a just cause to sake the manger? Leicester, Palace & Hull also changed their manager, look at the upturn in form following the change....
-
In all honesty, I can't see us picking up another win this season. Boro possibly..
-
What are the excuses this week then....? Not his fault Tadic can't take penalties (which is true, so why let him take them)..? European football (haven't played a European game since early December)..? Excess fixtures (we increased our squad last summer for this exact reason)..? Injuries (not sure VVD or Austin would have made a difference)..?
-
Have to say I agree with this. Based on nothing other than Lander just don't feel right.
