Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
SKD replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Please explain when I have said any of this? I do not assume it was an 'immigrant', however I bet they are, if not directly, they will be a child/grandchild of one. Unfortunately the damage is done. -
Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
SKD replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Don't talk nonsense ffs. FWIW a lot of good comes from the Muslim community (interns of reporting these crimes) however a lot more is needed. Until they sort themselves out, Islamic immagation can only be a bad thing. It may only be a very small minority (I think you would be surprised by the amount that sympathise these sort of event), however it only takes 1 to cause an event such as yesterday. I've even seen the left appear to justify these attacks by stating 'we do the same on their land'.... -
1 extra win, or draw in some cases, from a number of teams and they would have been. I certainly wouldn't be that jealous....
-
Or, I suspect, other supporters are making a judgement on our season by looking at the table.....
-
Yep, Adrian Durham feels the same as most of us after watching a few of our games this season, probably a few more than your average pundit to be honest.... It's easy to look at the table and think 'wow another great year for little Southampton' as you clearly do, it take someone of a little more intelligence (not a great deal as is really not hard to grasp) to actually review performances, targets & squad harmony... I cannot wait to see your reaction when he goes
-
 Sweepstake on which one of your other supporting club friends comes out next to congratulate us on a fantastic season.... I'm going for Newcastle. FWIW i would have swapped our season for theirs (Leicester) every day of the week.
-
If you believe anything like that said in an interview, you are very naive. Ryan has been very unhappy for some time (this season, especially since EL exit). He will go. Looks likely it'll be to City or Liverpool, but if Chelsea do come in then he will go there.
-
League table aside, does it not concern you that a large number of the squad are very unhappy with Puel and the current coaching staff? Does our home form this season not concern you? Do his pretty predictable and lack of tactical substitutions not concern you? I agree that 8th is a pretty reasonable finish, however you really need to look at more than final league position and it is very nieave and foolish not to. At least Les and the board aren't as foolish as you and will be dismissing him. Sorry Duckhunter, but you're fighting a loosing battle here pal.
-
Once again, who has said that 8th isn't good enough and for this reason alone we want him gone? why do you keep making things up to try and justify your point?
-
SWEEPSTAKE ALERT - Puel departure announcement timing - all welcome

He's not staying..... -
Not a chance - Too expensive (I think Sunderland have quoted something stupid like £30m) and bigger clubs after him. He could possibly end up at Everton if they don't go for Hart or FF....
-
Who are the 6 / 7 if you don't mind me asking, would like to see if it tots up with my suspicions, from the snippets I've been given. Bertrand Long Forster Cedric Tadic Jay Rod Austin
-
He is one of the 3 that I was told wanted out. I'm not sure if Puel going with change this, or if we will even sell though, I suspect with lack of quality in the market, and with a few top clubs looking to replace in this area, that we won't sell.

SWEEPSTAKE ALERT - Puel departure announcement timing - all welcome

Expecting it to be sooner rather than later, in the hope it will attract more ST renewals and persuade certain players to stay. I'm going for either today or tomorrow and for Les / Ralph to address the squad before they leave for their holidays. -
You haven't read my post have you....? If the board set the target of EL qualification (which according to his pre stoke press conference they did) and 8th doesn't achieve this, then yes, that is a failure.
-
The problem is it wasn't and that's why fans and senior club aren't happy. As for a measure of success, I'd say the targets set (get out of Europa group, latter stage of cup and European qualification) are / were fair targets set. 2/3 failed isn't a great return, especially with form and performances combined with fan and player unrest...
-
If you're interested in watching naked men run around then yes, fortunately I was the other end of the stadium so got no view. What's the odds on it being Always_SFC that done it? Didn't he confirm yesterday he sits in the chapel?
-
Come on then, let's look at the facts... Poch - improved our league position from 14th to 8th - fact - 8 points off the top 7 - fact - 6 points off 10th Koeman - improved our league position from 8th to 7th then 6th - fact - 12 points ahead of 10th (14/15 season) - fact Puel - decreased league position from 6th to 8th (although decrease to be expected) - fact - 15 points (practically 16 with GD) off top 7 - fact - 1 points off 10th - 17 goals at home this season - fact - a number of players unhappy - fact (I know it is) - 2 out of 3 targets set this season failed - fact (well according to Puel in his press conference) - cup final yes, winner no - fact (do you get anything for runners up? Nope) As you said, you can't argue the facts and this seasons facts show that we've gone backward, under Puel, compared to last two managers. Oh well, Was told (not by my usual contact, so I'm taking with a pinch of salt, but I have no reason to doubt and they are fairly credible) that Puel's gone (decisions been made pretty much... think it may have come from Kat believe it or not). Looking likely at this stage thatSsilva will get it, so I assume that he is the manager AR10 and Ericb mentioned the other day. Im still hopeful that we will hold off to see who else becomes available.
-
I found that a bit strange as well, what did he expect charlie to say...? "Yes I'm a pri*k, I love going out getting **** faced, and no one likes me"? FWIW anyone I've ever spoken to hasn't had a bad word to say about him, i get the impression he's pretty well liked around the club. In reference to the original post, I'm not sure there is much more to expand on other than what's been said previously RE players falling out with coaching staff.
-
I'm sure he is a very good manager, just one that is not suited to the fast pace of English football. As I've said, not all down to Puel, you've got to look at his assistant as well....
-
A great manager who gets results. He was exactly what we needed when Poch left (a big name to steady the ship), but I really don't think he's what we need now. He'd be great for a season or two, however he'll always have his eye on the job he's after and I don't think he suits us as a club. I.e I don't think he is the right man to lose his best player every year and re build. I could see us going for Silva (not that he is my choice), but I could also see us going for a very similar manager to Poch. Les loves him.
-
In all honesty that part is news to me, so I can't confirm the validity of that. I was just aware that a large number of the squad weren't exactly impressed with Puel's (including Black in this as well) methods and philosophy (a bit like the fans) to put it nicely. I was also aware that a number wanted out come the end of the season. If this will change now it appears Puel will go, I don't know? I suspect Bertrand may well still go. I'm assuming those that feel he has favorites are like likes of Clasie, who no matter how well he plays, gets dropped the next game.
-
I like him, done a good job at Watford as well before they sacked him, for no reason.
-
But we are told on here that European qualification each year is an unrealistic target? Quick, someone tell Les we should be aiming and be grateful to finish 16th - 8th..... On a serious note, 2 out of 3 targets failed then this season...
-
Can I just add that I and a few other stated they were unhappy a few weeks ago... Obviously not believed by the usual suspects as it was negative towards the club, but unless the papers have been reading here (very doubtful) it appears they've been told the same thing as me
