  1. This is the case some times, but not all the time. Although I have to say the club are extremely tight lipped and I probably get told stuff I shouldn't at times. I have no reason to doubt what people such as ericb have said in the last days and I certainly don't believe he is luring as you've suggested in your earlier post. I've been told a number of things, some of which I've posted on here, (a few from 1st team players and others from someone who I'm closer to, higher up at the club) which the club would not want to come out in the public domain. I don't know how close you are to said physio, well done for exposing them by the way, but with all due respect, other than anything that happens in the dressing room / training pitch, they wouldn't get told anything anyway.. why would they? One thing I'm never, under any circumstances, told about is transfer news, even though the person I know is very close to transfer dealings. They're generally sworn to secrecy with that kind of info.

Is this a serious point? Why would anyone pay out 2 years of their managers contract (lets say that is probably in the region of £2/3m, minimum I would suspect), along with his coaching staff (probably another couple of £m) when someone could pay you for their services...? We are in no rush to sack him (I'm sure he knows that his time is up) and it would be cheaper for us to keep him on the pay role (rather than sacking him and paying compo) until it is decided if another club will take him. Not small time at all. Sensible business to be honest. Also, saves face for the club and manager as others have pointed out. I suspect what will happen is he'll go to St Etienne and they'll pay us a minimal fee. Unfortunately, I don't think he will take Black with him (he'd be very stupid to do so), so we will have to pay him to go (maybe this will be what St Etienne pay us?)
  3. If a player wants to join x club and x club offers an acceptable amount for that player, what do you suggest the club do? Generally, deals / personal terms are already sorted before x club makes an offer. If VVD goes to Liverpool, it will be because he wants to join Liverpool and not one of the other various clubs that are in for him. Whilst is is frustrating for fans, there is not much we, as a club, can do other than to scout well and replace effectively. We are never going to be top of the food chain, we just have to accept that, but what we can do, is follow examples set by Monaco, Dortmund and now arguably Tottenham and in 5 years time be selling to Barca, Real and Bayern.
  4. Les is by all means not the only person at the club who knows what's going on. I assume you've forgotten about all the directors, their PA's and other various departments / people in high management roles at the club. Well he claimed to know 2 people we had considered recently, so it's either bull****, or they know more than you think.... FWIW, I know for a fact that players know more than you would think they would (not saying that know about new managers ect...), not just at their current club, but at other clubs as well.
  5. Lets say you are who you say your are (close to a first team player)... Is that player Fonte, or possibly, Long by any chance? Don't have to say which one, just a Yes or No will do. Also, again, if true, who do you expect us to get in?
  6. What if the name isn't Tuchel... ever thought of that possibility...? As he said, which you've clearly ignored or just not read, the club put out false names to try and get to the source of a leak... let's say les told Eric's contact it's Emery, he says that on here, but at no point have we considered Emery and only his contact was told that.. his job is on the line. Difficult to understand?
  7. Nope, take with a massive pinch of salt. I would have thought he is on our list though? At least give it a go...
  8. Don't worry about them mate, some of us appreciate the snipets you provide and that combined with what is already out there, it helps peice 2+2 together sometimes. As you've said, it's not worth someone's job, especially in the world we live in now as you know someone will screenshot and it'll be all over Twitter in minutes. On the basis of pure speculation, I will go with Silva as being talked to and discredited (I was told a week or 2 ago we were talking to him, diffrenet contact to usual so took with pinch of salt) and the 2nd Emery, our preferred choice, as he was before he took the PSG job of I'm not mistaken...
  9. Think what he's saying is he doesn't want someone to screenshot and send to the club... like that Mong (hopefully reading) did to Austin about him not being liked/having bad attitude.

Why would we sack him and pay out £Xm, when there is a strong possibility that another club will take him off us, and pay us £Xm for the privilege... It also gives us time to assess and weigh up who we want to replace him. As Ericb has said, we've already made contact with other managers... Sit back and relax, I'm sure Uncle Les has it all under control I'd expect everything to move pretty quickly once it starts moving...
  11. Austria will do nicely. Missed it last time, will be attending this year!

I get the impression it started with Fonte (him being the ringleader) and a number of others followed, in terms of loss of respect. I've not officially been told that, just putting 2+2 together fromwhat ive been told. Fonte was definitely a bad influence since coming back from euros.
  13. Unfortunately this is true and is one of the reasons I don't think we'd have much objection to him leaving. It's a shame as I like Tadic, on his day (which isn't frequent enough, it has to be said) he's one of the best attacking midfield players in the PL. I would be gutted if he ended up at West Ham. Talking of him falling out with everyone, I've been told he was renting an apartment in ocean village and fell out with the owner as they received a number of complaints due to him and a number of his friends (adults) running around playing football in there

Was referring to the fact he's iost the dressing room and that bit is news to me to be honest. If true, then totally out of order. I know a number of players lost all respect for him, and had a number of fall outs, but if they've taken the **** (openly) and turned there back in him, then they should face some sort of punishment. Although it's probably too late now. Unfortunately, it just demonstrates player power at pretty much all clubs these days and confirms exactly why Puel needs to go, which I'm still confident he will.

I've been telling people this for weeks, but it still doesn't stop certain posters from the Puel in camp ignoring the facts and continue to argue 'he got us to 8th and a cup final, what more do you want?'
  16. If Everton want and get (not that I think they will FWIW) £50m for Barkley, that puts our deals for wanyama and clyne to shame. It would also set a benchmark for the market, in which case I would expect £70m for VVD

I dislike the French, and I hate how French we've become... spineless, boring and lack of identity.
  18. If it's anything like that Arsenal TV rip off that them 2 lads do, then it should be binned immediately. Absolute Dinlos interviewing absolute dinlos. Embarrassing to be frank. There's probably a concept behind these sort of things, but you need to pick the right person to do the interviewing and the right person to interview.
  19. If he goes to West Ham and we aren't one of the clubs intrested, then the recruitment staff need to get the boot. Class player and would be a perfect replacement for Jay and Long. £20m is nothing for a striker in today's market.

Fair enough, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I agree that the 2 4 displays against Liverpool were tactically great. However, in my opinion they just sum Puel up. Too defensive for me. Genuine question for you, I respect you would give Puel another season, as would have I probably 2/3 months ago, but if a manager becomes available who is potentially better than Puel, would you not get rid now as come January we could be in the bottom 3 and no one be available...? FWIW, I have massive concerns about next season if he stays. He's lost the dressing room (it looks like the majority of the more vocal players leave, however), he lost the fans (unless he get off to a fantastic start, the atmosphere will be toxic) and from what I've seen, he has no plan/intentions/idea of how to switch things up and play a different way. We're either too attacking and open or too defensive and slow. Time may tell, he may proove me wrong (which I really hope he does as he seems a decent bloke), but I'm still 99% sure he'll go
  21. In terms of performances and the way they've conducted themselves, yes they they.
  22. Strange, especially when you consider yourself one of the 'more rational' and 'well balanced' posters. VVD has been an great servant in his time and similar to Bertrand (who I know wants out) if they feel like it's time to go, then I don't really feel that you can blame them. If we can't / won't pay the going rate for wages for someone of his ability then we don't really stand a chance of keeping him or others for that matter. Lovren was a tit in the way he acted. He should have kept his mouth shut as he'd have got the move anyway, however I don't really begrudge him going. Lallana on the other hand, he acted like a complete child. I would say similar to the way fonte left. No respect for either of them.
  23. He wants to stay in and around London, where he currently lives. Can't really blame him. He's been unhappy for some time now and has been great in the time he's been here. Who knows if Puel going earlier would have made a doffence, I doubt it to be honest.
  24. The majority of these are known as a risk to the authorities before they commit these attacks? What punishment do they suffer? People are being radicalised in our prison system, people are being radacalised on our streets, young girls are being raped by groups of Muslim men and they're being told to commit crimes in the name of Islam. Not enough is being done to tackle these, from the authorities and the Muslim community. If we cannot control the few we currently have, how do you suggest we control hundreds, if not thousands more? It's all questions the tolerant left cannot answer. Everyone is just so afarid of being called racist that they don't stand up to it.
  25. Im still waiting for you to point out where I said or suggested that this is as a result of all Muslims. I would imagine you won't in you next post either, as I never said that. Ultimately, IMO, Islam is an outdated ideology, but that's besides the point. The only ones who can stop this behaviour is the Muslim community. Better education (actually, given some of the evil in the Koran, probably better interpretation) of the faith and more needs to be done to sound out these (minority) idiots. The IRA were wrong and sick to act the way they did, but they were fighting for a purpose, and that was resolved. What are these fighting for? According to them, it's in the name of Islam. How do you suggest we stop that? You have sick and twisted individuals from every race and religion and you'd be foolish to think otherwise. Preventing immigration from Islamic countries will not stop the issue, however even if it only stops 1 terrorist, or terror sympathiser than its better than nothing. As I said, some the Muslim community do a great job to intergrate with society and reporting sick idiots like this, however as I also said a lot more needs to be done.
