As long as the game falls on a Saturday I'm not fussy with time. I'm a big fan of the 5:30 kick offs, if they're at home, but equally I'm looking forward to the 12:30 at Palace (8 o'clock train up, breakfast and a couple of beers before the game then plenty of time after to drown sorrows / celebrate). Sunday games are the killer... The atmosphere isn't the same and I generally don't enjoy them as much. Home or Away.

If I was given the chance to sign Iheanacho for a reasonable amount (£25m seems reasonable to me) then he would be an instant upgrade on Long or Austin. Could you not just ship one of these out? I appreciate that we are pretty well covered in the area, but if you're given the chance to improve your squad, you should take it. A buy back clause would be a worry If it's priced right (set at lets say c£50m) and guarantees you at least 2 seasons with the player it's not too bad. Of course there is the possibility of him being worth over that in 2 years time, but surely it is better to have the player for 2 seasons and make £25m on it then him go to a rival?

I agree - I'd sell him if the right bid (£65/£70m) came in. The trouble is, I'd only sell to a very small list of clubs and that would be City, Chelsea, United or one of the top clubs abroad. If we even considered selling to Everton (not that I think we will), I would have to question Les. Under no circumstances should we sell to them (as potential league rivals), or Liverpool (just absolute gob****e c**ts), IMO.

In reality, probably neither. We tend to go away for the early part of pre-season and play lower level teams abroad rather than at home.

Spot on if you ask me.

I'm suggesting that what we currently have is not good enough, if are ambitions are as they state they are.

If we want to push the top 7/6 then we need 2 excellent (first choice) and 2 good / okay to act as cover. Currently we have 1 excellent (been out injured for months and still a doubt as to if he will be here next season) and 2 good / okay (yet to be seen how good Bednarek is, but he didn't look great in u21's). I'm sorry, but if you want to consistently be a top 6/7 team, or even to just break into it, then the current options aren't good enough. Stephens done very well to fill in the back end of last season, but he also had some very bad moments (West Ham, Cup final and Arsenal in FA Cup off the top of my head), 1 of which cost us the cup. It also can't be forgotten how many goals we shipped at the end of last season either.

Backroom staff, all those in favour..Hands up for Sammy Lee

I'd say it's his (and the other coaching staff) to get the players performing. -

Black definitely had a falling our with a couple of players, so it surprises me to see that he's staying. Maybe they've made up, or maybe they're planning on moving said players on? -
We've a lot of depth, most of which is not good enough. When I say keep what we have, that's in reference to the key players (I.e VVD, Cedric, Romeu etc...). I wouldn't be too dissapointed to see Tadic leave to make room for a new creative no10 (anyway, Tadic is generally played as a winger, is he not?). We've plenty of options at CM but if you ask me, only Romeu is defensivly strong enough to play in a 2. I'd also happily sell gardos and Yoshida if it meant bringing in another first choice CB and I'd have no problem offload long and/or Austin. I'd guess that between them they'd bring in c.£20-£30m + Jay rod money, we'd hardly have to spend any of the TV money... Win Win.

So let me get this right, you think that judgement of a player is better than England management, pretty much everyone in the media and professional football scouts? Keane is clearly better than Stephens ffs. You're comparing an England international with one that can't get into the starting line up for the u21's and someone who had a fantastic season, as captain, of a PL club with one who played well, but we still conceded a lot of goals, for a handful of games. As for Romeu (Gueye & Schneiderlin is pretty formidable CM pairing, i'd say they're probably about level) and Redmond, it is debatable if they better. They're certainly not 'without a doubt better'. Oh and we don't even have a true no10, so how can say that Klaassen isn't better than what we have  You really need to take your red and white saints hat off and try having a sensible conversation every now and again, mate. You're more delusional than any West ham, Liverpool, Everton or Bournemouth fan (the worst, other than the skates, that I've come across) I've ever met. It doesn't make you any less of a fan or supporter to think that other players, who don't play for us, are better than what we have.

We need to keep what we have and then build by getting 2 or 3 key players. A CB, DM and AM (no10) should be a priority. I'd also like another forward (wouldn't be arsed with Long and or Austin going. Preferably Long).

I have realised this, but I've also realised our squad isn't good enough to compete with the top 7 (if that's where we really want to be). We're not far off, but we need at least 3 key players (CB, DM, AM) if we want to put any pressure on, IMO.

Read my first post. I said: As it stands a number of clubs are showing their hand and are arguably building a better squad than us.

This is a fair point - However you cannot deny that at the moment, they are a more attractive club to join than us. If you were to look at who is more likely to break into the top 4 out of us or them, any neutral would say them.

Keane is a lot better than Yoshida and Stephens. So yes, he is better than what we have. Pickford is arguably better than Forster (I don't think there is a great deal in it personally). Klaassen yet to be tested in the PL, but he is better than any no10 we have. Ramierz looks a player, he'd improve our squad. Schneiderlin would have improved us. Their manager is probably (say probably as yet to be tested, but FWIW I'm pretty optimistic about ours) is better than what we have. They have an owner who has a lot of money and is showing some real ambition to push them on to the next level.

Please explain how being envious of another teams transfer activity is not supporting your team?
