Granted I am biased since I'm a big Austin fan, but I don't think he is much of a question mark. He got dinged up mid last season thats really all it was. The prior 4.5 seasons he played pretty much all the matches. Even early last season for QPR, he played the first 16 matches or so, and got 10 goals. Over the past 4.5 seasons, including him sitting out the last 1/2 season with Southampton, he's scored 86 goals. As we know he had 18 of these in the Premier League 2 seasons ago. I do agree we need more than just Long and Austin, and I do think JRod has some injury risk, so we need more depth.

Germany is doing a very nice England interpretation.

Iceland were not that bad. In my opinion they just were overwhelmed in the first half. Its likely a combination of the French playing well and the overall magnitude of the circumstances. In the 2nd half they played their normal game and looked like they always do. This team was fairly good. Remember they did beat the Dutch twice, tied Portugal and Hungary, and beat Austria (among others). Yes England should have won, but with a lousy coach pushing all the wrong buttons (both personnel and motivation) its not that far a reach to lose.

Hodgson should have been fired at the half. His lineups are awful, plus he just sucks. Hart stunk, FF would have shut them out or at a minimum kept them at 1 goal.

Rooting for Italy, I hope Pelle gets a few good chances.

Austin will be fine next year and get back to his 15-20 goal season. He is not injury prone, in fact the previous 4 seasons he played straight through and in almost all the games. This year was just one of those things, and he will be fit and ready to go.

Outside of actually scoring goals (which is the point) we look very good. Get Vardy in.

He's been injury free for a few years. Even earlier this season he was scoring almost a goal a game for QPR. Then he got the hamstring injury and it's been a mess since. Let's shut him down for the rest of the season, we'll need him next year.

Nightmare second half of the season for Austin. Early on he was doing his normal thing, scoring something like 10 goals in 12 games for QPR (or close to this). Then he got the hamstring and never seems to have recovered. Perhaps they should just shut him down and start fresh next season.

Commentators called it a "gruesome" half for NC. I'm really enjoying this game.
