About time to start thinking about a draw.
-
VvD is mad
-
Something called the Bear. It's the only place I found with the game in "rugby country". I'm the only one here .

Great half! Let's get one more and then sit back. Looks like I'm missing the 1st quarter of the NFL game. I'm not leaving this.
-
I'm in a bar in Twickenham and didn't realize it's still 1-0.
-
Can anyone confirm that West Brom is still on the pitch? I can't seem to find them.
-
Jacob is way out of his depth. He's getting abused out there.

Mane assists. It's the Mane show.

Mane scores

Pints are on me

Gooooaaaallll!!!

Yes, but is it interesting and has possibilities?

Works for me

Just bet on Burnley getting 4-1. This means everyone reading this should run out and bet on Everton right now.

Great picture from the London Times, got past the keepers hands but hit him in the jaw. Too bad his chin is so long. We will beat them 4-0 at St Marys.

I think there are about 19 PL teams that would like to have Austin, currently tied for #6 in scoring, start for them
-
The Times in London had a great picture of Austin's try late in the match. It shows that his ball past the keepers hands but then hit him in the face. Very very unlucky, in fact Yoshida is in the picture starting to cheer. Ugh, that could have tied it. By the way, Austin is more than a "poacher". He is very good in the air, good with hold up play, and has a good shot from anywhere in the goal box. He is still very under rated by some, as Jamie Redknapp said the other day. Poachers don't get 18 goals in a PL season.

I think our strikers are fine, nights like this happen. We have one guy who is tied for 6th in goals in the PL (even though he's played many less minutes than the guys ahead of him), one guy who scored 10 goals in 28 PL games last season, Redmond who is showing much promise, and JRod who looks good for battling back from injury. I can't pick a PL team who has a better front four combination. They are making good runs and creating chances.

Plus we were just killing them near the end of the game. They made some great saves, especially on VVD and Austin's shot.
-
8th in the PL, and 2ns in our Europa group, even though we have played two out of three on the road. Add to that we were missing three starters, and Austin only played the second half. Overall the team is good and doing fine. Lets get a point or three at City and we'll be great. We will also clearly move on in Europa.

Why we don't play Charlie Austin every game....
striker replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Pretty cool analysis. Austin getting PL props. http://soccerlens.com/charlie-austin-the-new-offensive-leader-of-the-epl/201745/ -
Ha. no everyone else didn't care because it wasn't Italian Serie A. Actually late in the game some guys from Brighton came in. They were absolutely rooting for Burnley.

I watched Sundays match in Venice. Got talking to the bartender who is a massive Inter fan. He is really down on them. New coach, players don't know each other or play well together, and they are losing to everyone. He is expecting a romp. Needless to say I was the only person rooting for the Saints in Venice. People we giving me strange looks when I was cheering it up in the 2nd half.

They are a very good tandem. Redmond is attacking from the outside, and Austin is a terror in the box. Teams need to game plan for both, it's very hard.

Solid, strong performance. We did what we should have. Redmond, Tadic, Romeu, VvD, Austin were all very good. Never in doubt really, and could have been more. Loved Edmonds goal. We are getting very used to Austin scoring in every game, been a while for that feeling. Teams have to game plan for him. Midfield was excellent, the game was always in control. This team may turn out to better than last year's.
