  1. Come on Palace
  2. and what is the poor disabled were yelling bad things at our players? Are they able to get away with that just because they are disabled. Since when does being disabled (or anything else) give them a right to do what they want. Liberal snowflake.
  3. 1) not automatically looking to pass back and "build up" 2) not focused on possession 3) press all over, creating traps, no more letting the opponent just pass it around while we wait 4) attack from the minute you have possession (now we see players turn and go rather than pass back) 5) no more "static" formations, all player are making runs some from deep in the formation at one point yesterday a defender made a run and Ings stepped back as a CB to replace him we made it far too easy for the defenders before I made the comment a few matches ago that I didn't think our strikers were bad, I just think the team was not creating any chances. We can see that is true now. Before we were just static, players staying the their boxes, and our offense revolved around crosses into the box after the D was already set.
  4. All I saw was the whole bench jump up in celebration on Obi's goal. Austin, Ings, and a few others were sort of in front. Not sure what the issue was. I thought it was great seeing all the players into the match and celebrating.
  5. Personally I think guys like Long and Austin were held out today in anticipation of playing Thursday instead. I think this is why Obi came on instead. So I'd expect a line of Long, Austin, Redmond, then Lemina and Romeu (unless he wants to rest Romeu for someone else). We may see Cedric back for this in place of one of the wings too. The back is a guess.
  6. Here's hoping Ralph can bring us back up to the league heights of Puel (I'll start ducking now:) )
  7. Have WHU on Thursday and City on Sunday. I think part the Obi on for Ings strategy was to keep Austin and Long fresh for Thursday. Probably see some other changes too. Is 3 in a row too much to dream of?
  8. Redmond made that goal. Hudds look like they shot their load, and didn't get back
  9. Dam, nice pass by BigV
  10. Interesting, why take Ings off?
  11. McCarthy should have had that. We look like we've slowed down. Players getting tired maybe?
  12. I keep thinking Hudders are really the Saints. They look like us. Now I know how other teams looked at us
  13. I actually like Armstrong out there, but I agree on Targett. I can't wait to see Bertrand and Cedric out there
  14. Fitness and pace are key to Ralphie's style. With the constant pressing and attacking (from all positions), the players need to rotate back on defence very quickly when they lose possession. No more static players, passing back, style. IMO the 2 wings are the weakest link. When we get Bertrand and Cedric back out there, with their pace, this lineup will really fly. Then Targett and Valery can supply quality depth on the bench (with Lemina/Romeu, Austin, Stephens, etc.).
  15. We look completely different, Ralphie has mad a hug difference
  16. Strange, it feels like I'm watching a proper PL team.
  17. Interesting that he likes putting kids on the bench instead of guys like Hoedt or Ely.
  18. This is misleading since Austin missed the 1/2 of 2 seasons, so in reality he played a full season less than Gabbi. Austins goals per minute is much higher
  19. I expect some changes since we have 2 matches in 6 days. Players like Cedric, Lemina, and Austin may start vs West Ham.
  20. Not sure, but I bet we're still in economy and not 1st class.
  21. I find it hard to believe he won't play Lemina, Bertrand, and Cedric when they are healthy.
  22. Yep, he was pretty adamant that he wants to keep Mario. Called him one of his best players. Gabbi he glazed over with a general "we'll see what happens with a number of players moving forward" comment.
  23. All aboard the Hasenhuttl Express, now bound for station #16
  24. Seems like this decision has already been made. To be honest we've sort of seen the same result/decision from the last couple of managers now. It seems that the last few managers have a different opinion of Gabbi than this website.
  25. I wouldn't change the line up at all, except if Redmond can't go
