  1. I'm sure most neutrals would agree with me and think of you as a highly delusional Saints fan. Alderweireld has been the best centre back in the league this season. For me he was the best centre back in the league last season as well (for SAINTS) . That is some going. My view is that he is now the best centre back in the league, having been the best centre back for two seasons running. He's as good as any centre back in the world. You're obviously extremely bitter Alderweireld left and I obviously hit a nerve didn't I by rating him so highly! I never expected a hostile response to my post.
  2. The goal Austin scored against us for QPR was a great goal. Probably the best goal on the eye I've ever seen against Saints. I've been watching Saints (going to the actual games) for roughly 20 years. This is completely subjective. The beauty of a goal is in the eye of the beholder. I don't enjoy watching goals against Saints, but on this goal I was sat there thinking 'wow what a goal, what a well-taken goal' when I was at the ground. That never tends to happen when I follow Saints. http://gfycat.com/MistyBlissfulHarborporpoise gif of the goal
  3. Forster is far better than Stekelenburg. Alderweireld is also a lot better than Van Dijk. Alderweireld is the best CB in the league. He's an incredible one on one defender, a great passer, good for set pieces directly and indirectly. Clever positional defender, good on the ball. I could go on. He's basically the complete CB. Alderweireld is one of the best CB's in the world right now. Van Dijk is not. Schneiderlin is better than Clasie of course. Clyne better than Cedric. Having said the above we need to realise that the rest of the team ought to be improving together. The ones under 25 or 26 ought to still be improving season by season. Particularly Ward-Prowse and Targett. The problem with this is that we haven't spend particularly wisely. We should have bought one defensive midfielder and clumped the Romeu and Clasie (and even Juanmi?) money together. Had Davis, Ward-Prowse and Reed as cover. We could have bought a monster top class defensive mid with that money all clumped together. It's great that we've won two games back to back. But the squad is still not looking good to me and I still feel like we shot ourselves in the foot with our purchases. At least we are starting to improve after the horrible run of results previously
  4. He's scored a free kick, cool. But how many attempts did it take him to score a free kick for us? He scored a pen. Most players on the pitch could have scored the pen. Don't get carried away kids.
  5. Don't think we can give him much credit for a pen. Can for the free kick. And usually the answer to your question is yes to be fair. Don't get too carried away with one free kick and a penalty
  6. Not sure what will happen if Ward-Prowse scores a third. Either the world will end completely or the world will end as we know it
  7. Reed was the answer. Reed is much better than Schneiderlin was when we first signed Schneiderlin. He's just as good as Schneiderlin is off the ball already. Just needs to improve his passing range. Should have got more chances this season.
  8. We seem to be set up to play against Barcelona against at SMS ..... Koeman is the most negative tactical manager in the league by far....... We are like watching paint dry these days.
  9. Get rid now. Get rid of those that want out. Get rid of the likes of Ramirez, Juanmi and Caulker that either aren't good enough or aren't considered good enough. Bring in a couple of attackers.
  10. I don't see an edit button. But a couple of typos there. It should be easy enough to make sense of.
  11. Ward-Prowse hasn't good a good defensive contribution and never scores. All he gets assists from is set pieces and let's face it..if Bertrand, Davis or Tadic took all JWP's set pieces they'd get a few assists from them over the course of a season. The only time he's every played well for us is playing like a proper right wing, trying to whip crosses in at every opportunity. That's his position for me and the only position he could potentially be a good player in. Right now he is mediocre at best at the roles he's best used for.
