When you realise how good Delap is and will become, it would be fine. Ings is running down his contract, just like he’s done before, and we will either have to sell him for a reduced price or let him leave for free. I honestly hope he stays but I just can’t see it. So getting a wonder kid and some money would be great.

Awful. Awful. Awful. Tippy, tappy, sideways dross. Our crossing and final ball are poor, our thought process is frazzled. Ings doesn’t look fit to me and Adams couldn’t hit a barn door. Changes for Wolves is a must, Salisu, Forster and Djenepo all need to start. Also, Ralph needs to learn to make changes, everyone could see Redmond was struggling. Unbelievable.

Having watched the game last night and seeing Spurs throw away the match, I am certain we will cause them problems. They haven’t played that well for a few weeks and have been getting a lot of luck. We will be bang up for it, Ralph will be up for it and the stadium will be up for it. City should win and be 2 points clear again and Liverpool will have to go for it. That plays into our hands. They’ll be nervy. It’s going to be a hard game no doubt but we can cause an upset. It has the potential to be a special night!

A few tibits I’ve been told - It’s been going on a while, Hughes was getting the bullet whenever we got him. Atmosphere at the club was horrid under Hughes. Very detached from first team. Bertrand a bad influence. Often late for training and acts like he owns the place. Austin similar. Massive ego. Redmond not great around the place. Ralph has banned all player apprences this week. He’s also banned anyone bar coaches watching the training sessions. He’s a disciplinarian and strict.

Slattery has been training with the 1st team. He was in the training video they released yesterday or whenever it was.

He is a nugget, what sort of CEO says to his fans: ‘We have 27 games ahead of us and it’s not going to be an easy ride back but we would like to push ourselves back to the top of the group that has been struggling of late then inch our way back to midtable’. If I am a player I am thinking about getting out of this mediocre shambles ASAP. As a fan he doesn’t make me want to go to st Mary’s. Bland unambitious, money laundering owners. I have been told this. Hughes doesn’t talk to the players at all, does little to no coaching and is very difficult to tie down. Anyone who wants to get near him has to go through the two coaches he brought in and even then it’s hard to get to him. He uses different entrances to the players, is completely detached, makes the players wait on the coach for 2 minutes until he is off and out the way. He alienates players for no reason, has fallen out with senior players. He’s a dinosaur, can you imagine Pep, Klopp or Poch being like that? Sort it out Les. Now.

I’m sure it’s been said before but Gao has little interest in the club. He bought it so he could have access to the land around St Mary’s and develop that. He’ll make a fortune from it and the club can just bumble along. Despite how we feel, the club is very well run (obviously the shambles on the pitch aside) it’s a very good business.
