Checked and it's J-Rod

Yes for the first time in this stupid dispute my sympathies have swung from MLT to Cortese. Of course I love our greatest ever player infinitely more than that I ever will Cortese, whatever he does with the club, but in this matter MLT has put himself in the wrong.
-
Remember how quickly he recovered after being taken off in a stretcher at Villa. Played superbly the following Wednesday at Chelsea.

I'll be astonished if Bent plays
-
I can see at least five points out of that run: stoke away = draw arsenal home = loss Aston villa away = draw Everton home = win man United away = loss

I've seen more than one post on the Sunderland board saying that Puncheon is 50:50 for Saturday. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=749642 Anyone know anything about this?
-
A bit greedy... I'd be happy with 3 points from the next two matches, then 6 from the following two

No rain. Definitely dry but colder. A wrap-up warm evening.

One thing in favour of Green is that he'd be good for dressing room spirit. As an earlier poster said (I think) he's a really nice character and would not be disruptive.

Not all Prem midweek games are on Wednesdays. If we have a midweek game against a club with a fixture on the previous Saturday and we also have a Saturday fixture, then a Tuesday game is possible (and preferable).
-
We'll try to arrange for as many of our midweek games as possible to be played on Tuesdays, as they have been in L1 and the Championship, so as to give an extra day's rest and preparation before the next weekend's fixtures. But of course with more prem games played on Sundays that won't always work out.

Of great interest to us since we'll be sticking around in the Premier League http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18205519 Will be on iPlayer from Monday nights Oops can't edit wrong date in title
-
Quite. Can't a mod change the thread's title? No one has given a shred of evidence that Liverpool has actually approached Adkins.

I know several Mackems and NONE of them remember him as a great keeper http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=695836&highlight=kelvin

to answer my own question: weekend of Aug 18/19

Sunderland or Newcastle at home. What is the starting date of the Prem season? Need to make plans...
-
Not for long, sadly. 1-1 now

There's some good flash-back nostalgia here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3hm5tQDqPQ

Lambert has had operation and will miss rest of season. (Rumour)
fez replied to CFSFC's topic in The Saints
IF Rickie is not playing this afternoon, it does NOT mean that his medical situation is as dire as the OP says. Don't assume the worst if he's not in the team or on the bench. -
As an oldie hoping to work on beyond normal retirement age, I'd cheer any veteran who's still playing regularly at 38. Is he the oldest in the Championship (apart from goalies of course)?
-
Definitely not true

The key to success - and enjoyment - in the Prem will be team spirit, which can overcome a lot of technical shortcomings in football. Of course we'll have to buy a few new players in the summer if we go up but we must keep as many of the present lot as possible. Too many new players will destroy that spirit and take time to bed in - and by then we might be having no fun in the relegation slots. In other words follow the Norwich and Swansea examples, not QPR.

It's an amazing reflection of Fat Sam's style -- and his unpopularity with the home fans -- that WHam have picked up more points away than at home this season.
-
Yes I've put £30 on Reading winning on Betfair. Odds were about evens. So I'll gain £30 consolation if they do - and be happy to kiss £30 goodbye if they don't.

no maybe not, on second thoughts. I just imagined a sort of chant I'd never heard before on a football ground. Though it is the sound of money so it could work when Pompey come to SMS
