Did the clueless cunt really blame our one man advantage for the defeat against wolves?
-
He even said that he was baffled why the crowd was booing lavia's substitution as if he was "running the game". How the hell did we end up with him? I mean Ralph did run out of ideas sure but this guy is simply incompetent. I guess SR didn't care to find out what sort of person this loon actually is before hiring him.
-
Absolutely. But as much as we'd like him to be sent packing back to wherever he crawled out of immediately, I doubt the board agree. I think it's clear as daylight to them that they fukd up big time hiring the nutjob, but I think they'll wait until the season is over and we're relegated to sack him IMO.

I would just like to say that Jones seems extremely unstable and in all my years watching football I've never heard a premier league manager sound as insane as Jones sounded just now. So I don't know what happens now but it's pretty damn clear we're going down this season with or without Jones at the helm as I think we've wasted what winnable games we had. But I'd prefer we send the lunatic packing now and start getting ready to bounce back from the championship next season by hiring an actual sane and professional manager that knows what he's doing.

Saints 2-0 Man City - The Treble is STILL on!

I think most would like us to keep away from the relegation spots while trying our luck with the cups. Winning a cup wouldn't gloss over the feeling of getting relegated IMO. It's a really shitty feeling. -

I think orsic could make a cameo appearance in this one. And if we are losing by half time as is likely throw in the likes of JJ Morgan and the like no better game to blood these I think. -

Avoiding a drubbing should be the goal for this one I guess. Otherwise an embarrassing defeat would drain any confidence the lads gained from today's win. -
Jesus 30 mil, but then again had we sorted this out in the summer we wouldn't have had to have our pants pulled down this way, if we do sign him that is.

One thing that just isn't clear to me about aribo also djenepo is that during their first few games they both showed clear signs of ability and even a goal or two, I remember djenepo vs Sheffield with a beauty. And I had become quite certain the both of them will go on to become established players in the team consistently contributing goals or assists, now look at the state of them. Is it possible to coach ability and flair and just basic quality out of someone? Is that what happened?
-
Yup can't argue with that. But I think that the low possession and few chances thing isn't by accident as NJs teams are supposed to play on the counter and so I think the plan was to play that way from the get go. Except they forgot about keeping it tight at the back so now it all looks a mess. They also seem to have forgotten the finish what little chances we get part. These two things fixed and we're fine but then so would every other relegation candidate.
-
Orsic, a proper striker and a defensive midfielder all these done in the next few days might see us claw ourselves UpTo 16/15th in the league and stay there. But that could just be me sliding back to unreasonable hope and delusion.
-
Palace always seem to beat us nowadays anyway so might as well not bother following the match in any way shape or form. Then check the result next morning, while crossing your fingers that it won't be another 9 nil loss. That's what I'm doing nyway.
-
They may be available BUT who in they right mind would willingly take charge of this team in it's current state unless it's another Jones type person?
-
I believe NJ to be way out of his depth as most on here do but sack him then what? Selles in charge for the rest of the season? Because I don't imagine there to be plenty of viable candidates atm, and even if there were do we have the cash? Let's say we do, we get the new guy in, then we just hand him this lot and expect him to pull off a miraculous escape? If we get relegated might as well do it with a bit of money then try and bounce right back up god willing.
-
Sorry my bad. But point is I think the wages and fee likely to be required to bring him back IF he wanted to be back that is, would be out of range. Plus I doubt he'd wanna be back here a third time after leaving so quick when many would've expected him to stay longer last time out.
-
Ings would be good as a temporary fix. But all things considered chances of that happening are slim I think. Throwing upwards of 100k in wages at a 34? Yr old doesn't sound like what the club does atm.
-
why there is no sign of the club looking for players that'd add some fight and grit and experience just so we survive the drop this season is beyond comprehension. Wouldn't be so baffling that we're looking to sign teenagers if we weren't heading for the drop, but now we are heading there so I don't get it.

Have a feeling we'll make Burnley look like a top 6 team while allowing them to tear us apart with their relegation contender attack. Unless of course ralph decides salisu was the answer after all and starts him. I wager an unfit salisu would offer more than our current lot.
-
Well, nothing suggests this window will be different from the previous 4 or 5 windows for us. Atleast ralph isn't bashing his own club about the apparent difficulties of working for penny pinching employers like sean dyche currently is ( bbc), or that would add a very reallistic but devastating layer to current mood of the fans.
-
I don't think a midfielder is anywhere near top of Ralph's January transfer wishlist. I think he believes jwp, Armstrong, hoj and rom is good enough to beat the drop. well I guess we'll find out soon enough. I think best we could hope for is a backup LB, possibly also a RB IF the greatest RB ever Cedric leaves for real Madrid or Barcelona. That maehle fella looking pretty decent this season as well I see.
-
Newcastle aren't coming out of their own box unless we score. if we get lucky and grab a scrappy one then we will have space for djenepo And co. to have a field day, as they will be leaving space behind looking for the equaliser.
-
I too think Allan saint maximin Is a huge threat to us. he's got boufal level dribbling abilities and is also quicker. his end product still questionable tho but he'll more than likely unsettle our poor defence. I'd definitely drop Cedric for this as valery will be fresher and eager to impress. plus he should be an upgrade on Cedric who seems inept at the moment. as others have said I'd be happy with a draw here as Bruce seems to have shored them up and they seem really difficult to beat.

because of the frankly extreme media attention young players in today's football get, some maybe prone to developing an ego, actually thinking they're the next Ronaldo or messi, so start thinking they don't need to train as hard or even harder than others just because they have talent. so I guess those types need this kind of treatment to get them back down to earth. sure you may have talent, but that only gets you so far if you're gonna sit on you're arse. anyone remember Adel Taarabt? he had bags of talent and could've become a superstar had he also had the discipline and hard work others of less talent have. he's now in some obscure club and way past his prime, like 30 something. also others come to mind like ravel Morrison, Ben arfa even balotelli. such a shame to see such rare talent wasted.
-
ralph shouldn't/won't get the sack this season IMO, but one thing i would absolutely love is if we/the fans had an opportunity to ask ralph to explain 1. why he keeps picking jwp to start despite him contributing next to nothing while on the field actually even making mistakes that put us in difficult situations. 2. why he can't settle on one defence lineup and why he doesn't think danso is good enough to play in the centre despite sanctioning his arrival. 3. why he keeps benching boufal.
-
i suspect that how it works with transfers is that ralph draws up a list of players he wants in with first choice ones and last resort types for each position. in the case of danso, as we couldn't sell any of the cbs we have, lack of funds meant that we could only loan one so i guess we tried and failed to negotiate a loan deal for any of our top targets so we ended up with danso, who i suppose was way down the list because despite ticking most boxes he still lacks experience and leadership qualities. two things our defence currently needs. if this indeed is how things went down, it doesn't excuse ralph from all the horrendous decisions ralph has made with regards to lineups, subs and overall tactics.
