  1. That Turkish lad Yildiz looked a bit special as well...
  2. Leeds giving Swansea a good fisting.....
  3. I was expecting a bus park from Hudds but they pressed us all over the pitch from the start. We couldn't find any rhythm at all in the 1st half and 0-2 did not flatter them. 2nd half a little better with the subs though, I thought Edozie made a immediate impact as did Mara. I think if we play like the 1st half against Leeds or Leicester we'll be put to the sword, with the attacking talent at their disposal I did not like the constant tika-taka in our own box between Baz and CB's either (under pressure), it seemed like a disaster waiting to happen but we got away with it. As for AA's missed "sitter" in the 1v1, they're not as easy as some people think, he's not Harland and he made the wrong choice as the keeper didn't go to ground, a left foot sidefoot may have been more successful. 70% possession apparently but it didn't feel like it, perhaps until the last 15mins when Hudds tired. Great atmosphere though, my 1st time in the (re-allocated) Northam block, right behind the goal. A real entertaining game with many emotions throughout. I bet Leeds fans were licking their lips at half time, sorry lads, maybe another day.
  4. I think you give this Govt a litte too much credit, your theory would involve a plan managed competently over a period of time, which would be a first for this shower. Moreover, the Tories were more than happy to let legal migration rocket due to a miopic dogma about rising GDP. More likely that the Govt are belatedly reacting to public pressure, wanting control of your country's borders was a major factor in the Brexit vote, like it or not it was a democratic decision by the voters which has been largely ignored or mismanaged. On that note I'm amazed the streets of Britain aren't routinely set ablaze considering we have 52% of the population who are racist bigots. Also, I think that the notion that anyone is "entitled" to seek asylum here or anywhere else stretches the definition and spirit of asylum. Most of these people are not fleeing war or political, religious or homophobic persecution, some certainly are, most are not. Ditching any form of identification into the Channel en route are hardly the actions of genuine asylum seekers IMO. The French processing centre idea sounds reasonable, until thousands are refused asylum (eventually) and decide to sail over anyway, back to square one.
  5. I don't know how anyone can think that illegal immigration is anything but detrimental to this country, and it's got nothing to do with being xenophobic or the favourite slur of being a racist. As it stands currently, the tens of thousands entering via the boats may well be a small number compared to legal migration, but that is now at astronomical levels never before seen and is quite obviously unsustainable. The financial cost to the UK is not insignificant, and the fact that were housing them in hotels, converted army bases and even newly built housing complexes tells me that we don't know what to do with them, still, at least we don't have a native homeless problem to worry about, oh wait... Then there's the security concerns. We simply do not know who any of these people are, what their backgrounds are, and given the increasing political tensions around the world now it's criminally negligent to allow them to simply walk in and disappear in many cases. Many will end up in the black economy, criminal gangs, homeless or in modern slavery, adding to the current underclass of people who have no stake in this country and officially do not exist. As for Sunak's obsession with legal immigration, he seems wedded to the economic mantra that to grow your economy you need to increase productivity and population. The problem is we are not increasing productivity to any significant degree, but have managed to balloon the population numbers through immigration, while 5 million UK citizens are effectively unemployed. Starmer's "plan" for the problem is mere doublespeak, and will result in being fobbed off by the French (again), and probably a blanket amnesty on outstanding asylum claims as well as ditching of the Rwanda scheme (not a bad thing but what a waste of time and money).
  6. Even if the Rwanda bill is passed, it really isn't worth a w**k in its current form. The provision for lodging appeals against any "deportation" , including to the ECHR, will mean that nobody will end up being sent there. We'll have as many arrivals as before and hundreds of lengthy and costly legal wrangles, for which the Govt. have apparently planned to draft in an extra 150 judges to mete out the inevitable. 5000 or so candidates for this excursion have simply disappeared recently as well. The Tory rebels , and I suspect most of the MP's who voted in favour, know this very well. They really do think the public is stupid. So the Tories have a shite plan, and Labour have no plan to "stop the boats", we might as well send fleets of cruise ships over to France and have done with it. At least the Lee Andersons of this world have some principles.
  7. I willing to stick my neck out here and predict that, thanks to your efforts, cervical cancer in trans men will one day be eradicated altogether. Keep up the good work Turkish.
  8. I admit to watching this on occasion, each time in a state of complete and utter bafflement.
  9. It's bollocks though really. How many non-white people sit in the boardrooms of these oh so inclusive companies? It's sweet that the evil white colonialist pigs are patting a few savages on the head and no doubt feeling worthy and cleansed of their past sins I suppose. TV ads have rarely reflected real life, but now they're nearly all racist.
  10. So even mentioning what is obvious positive discrimination is now racist? Oh dear.
  11. Maybe he dosen't get out of London much, only 5% of the UK population are black, what does he expect to see ? I wonder if those first pioneers stepping off the Empire Windrush were muttering about a few too many whites....
  12. Milk bottle tops, instead of being brightly coloured they're now virtually transparent. The result is you scouring the kitchen for the "lost" lid when the thing is on the bottle in the first place.

    Israel

This was discovered by the IDF in one of the tunnels, pretty damning if you ask me.
  14. The towering intellectuals who came up with this seemed to have overlooked the fact that 3 million people were killed by the 1349 plague. That was half the population of Britain, and it took 200 years for the population to recover to the previous level. Because a tiny number of those victims were black women is not of course due to racism, more likely due to most of the population living in squalour in what was a strict feudal system with very limited freedom of movement. These people are mentally ill IMO.
  15. The Trans issue wouldn't be such a big deal if common sense hadn't gone walkies from many instituions. When people can be cancelled, lose their jobs, be debanked and have their lives ruined because they didn't conform to the pronoun mental illness for example I'd say it has become quite an issue. I am now identifying as a top SWF poster, and demand the respect such a position warrants.
  16. I think Braverman will have her Geoffrey Howe moment after PMQ's, protocol suggests Sunak will have to sit there and suck it up. The Rwanda scheme was a ridiculous proposal anyway, even if the supreme court had ruled in favour of the govt the inevitable lemgthy appeals and the ECHR would have made it unworkable anyway.

I think it's a matter of respect, or rather lack of it. Freedom of speech/protest are an important part of our society, but it's a privilege with responsibilities not a fundamental right, just look around the world where it dosen't exist. The march organizers have been asked very nicely to postpone, and responded with the finger. The day shoud be for remembering the fallen, in peace and dignity, without being marred with the inevitable clashes with counter protesters and the police, who are in an impossible position due to the numbers expected. Regardless of your views on the conflict, this is not the day to march through London en masse chanting dubious slogans.

Indeed they did, so why remove it do deliver his anti Islamophobia video (are that many muslims afraid to walk the streets in this country today, really?)

It seems that way sometimes, although we all know what a shower the Tories are after 13 years in office, but still not too sure what we'll get with Starmer at the helm. So who was ashamed of the poppy and what it represents, Labour, Starmer himself or his muslim audience? It may seem trivial to some people but I think he's f****d up there.

I just wonder how many of those poor people trying to flee northern Gaza blame HAMAS for their fate. HAMAS must have known what the Isreali response would be to what was an unprecedented, savage, and pretty pointless attack on civillians. I suppose it makes little difference to a child to have its throat slit or to be buried under rubble, but there is a moral difference. HAMAS care little for "their" people, the more that die the better for their propaganda.
  23. On the same note, watching international Rugby Union for many many years, and still not having a fucking clue about most of the rules.
  24. Looks like Skates may pass us on their way up.
  25. While the victims families are set to receive a whopping £13k in compension, the hospital trust spent £325k on pr since Letby was arrested. Reassuring to know their priorities were in the right place.
