  1. Given they've started the priority at ST + 4 away matches must be expecting this to be popular. I'm I right to be miffed as a member with away matches I'm still at the bottom of the priority list?
  2. The website is silent when Huddersfield away tickets go on sale. I'm hoping to go as I'm on holiday in Yorkshire - does anyone have any inside knowledge? And when would the tickets be posted as I may already be away when they come out?
  3. Questions are can Gabbi and Charlie play together? How does Boufal get game time to play himself into the PL?
  4. I agree mainly with the original post except we haven't had our fair share of flops - IMO our recruitment has been much better than that with relatively few failures - and no recruitment system is perfect as we know in our own work environments!
  5. In my opinion our midfielders are all too similar and we need one who can create chances and/or run beyond the front players. Without that I fear a season of lots of tidy possession but too few chances for the front players to create.
  6. I'd rather play 1st team regularly for saints than get lost in the squad of one of the champions league clubs. For many it's been a career ender - Scott Sinclair for instance.
  7. As a committed fan much of last season was a hard watch so I'm not surprised TV doesn't want to inflict this on neutrals! Here's hoping we get off to a flying start and get lots of coverage in the next tranche of matches - I'm particularly hoping Spurs away gets moved so I can get to Wembley for a league game! (I'm away on hols on boxing day)
  8. I read that too on the bbc sport gossip section. I don't understand why we'd sign him on a long term deal just to loan out again. I'd assumed he was being earmarked to replace JayRod as an impact player off the bench with occasional starts.
  9. Give it to Les to spend - his judgment over 5 years or so has been pretty good with relatively few failures.
  10. Already mentioned but David Armstrong, Chris Marsden and Terry Hurlock for me. Give it another 10 years then Steve Davis will qualify.
  11. There's no perfect recruitment system but over the last few seasons we've done well with a few duffers. My worry is if the system tends to recruit the same type of player Romeu excepted all our midfielders are very similar. I wonder how MLT would've faired if his stats had been analysed - very static but when the ball eventually gets to him he wins you the game!
  12. I kind of agree with the original post - breaking into the top 7 will be incredibly difficult given the money they're all investing. For me the important stat is points difference to relegation rather than league position - although the 2 are related obviously! So 20 points clear of relegation and finishing 4th from bottom is probably better than 9th and 2 points clear.
  13. 100% agree. These are the good old days... just wait and see!
  14. Athletics finishes 14 August (I'm going!). So it depends if they can reconfigure the stadium for football in time.
  15. I'm now really optimistic about the new season - there are so many 'winnable' matches. I've completely forgotten our inability to score but hope a good transfer window will sort that out. I predict 7th place and 56 points!
  16. Whilst coaching craig Gordon how to come and collect crosses?
  17. Dare I say it but we need strong and stable leadership- either by confirming Puel for next season or moving on to a new manager PDQ. The continued uncertainty is not good for the club during a very important transfer window.
  18. 6 points from the final 2 games leaving us with 51 points and 8th place would be a good season results wise. But lack of home goals and some very dull performances are a worry going into next season when most other teams will improve and I believe 2 of the promoted teams will invest enough to stand a chance of staying up.
  19. Option 1 except imo Boufal hasn't done enough to justify a start ahead of JWP
  20. I think Arsenal are there for the taking at the moment and I think we can get a point from Man U given the wembley performance. 54 points is possible
  21. I don't think our season is over yet - we do need to get to 40 points with some difficult games in the run in and our 2 best players out injured. Matches to target points are Bournemouth, Palace, Hull, Middlesbrough, and on current form Arsenal
  22. Saints Facebook feed yesterday said he was unlikely to play again this season - and would not risk further injury.
  23. Good effort! I had a work trip to Aus that meant I missed EPL final and ended up watching it in the Casino sports bar in Melbourne as the only Saints fan!
  24. International break has been a disaster for my fantasy footie team- Both Coleman and Lallana. Barclays has Gabbi as 75% likely to play.
  25. Not beyond the realms of possibility that Serbia could win the euros so Tadic is in the mix.
