So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?
SaintDonkey replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
The Hartlepool game that's on the Tuesday. the day BEFORE the ticket office are telling people that if their tickets haven't arrived they'll do something. I may see a slight flaw in that argument! -

Still no tickets, and right hacked off. I know they're saying not to worry before Wednesday but what happens then? Do I have to go to the box office with ID to get a slip to hand in at Wembley? Well thanks for that but I don't live in Southampton so are they going to pay for me to make a trip down there especially for that? A little bit of foresight - and maybe sending tickets out earlier - and maybe they could have made today be the 'if you haven't got your ticket' day. I.e. the day BEFORE many fans will be travelling to Southampton for the Hartlepool match. And smug barstewards whose tickets have arrived or can easily get to the ticket office can **** right off. -

Is this thread actually just a test to catch the work shy bastewards who are lounging around at home all day waiting for the post to come rather than out earning an honest crust -
Spot on. Rebuilding needs to start somewhere, the JPT isn't the most prestigious bit of silverware but it was always the most likely one we would have a shot at this season. Next season we can pick it up again along with the League One winners spot. Season after that will be a toughy - hard to see us winning the Championship at the first time of asking, no JPT to compete in and realistically no hope of League or FA Cup glory.
-
If we win it'll be the first silverware for a generation. Yes it's not the most prestigious trophy out there, but why the hell shouldn't we celebrate? Some people on here are miserable barstewards, if all you care about is the 'big' competitions then bugger off and support a 'big' club.

The Echo http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/5050349.Carlisle_give_back_Wembley_tickets___but_it_won_t_help_Saints_fans/ Admittedly it does say that they expect to return 2,500 tickets rather than they have returned them already.

I've got a bad feeling about this. Family commitments mean I'm going to miss the match and of our 4 home defeats this year I've missed 3 of them. We did win the other 2 home matches I missed but it's still a pretty bad ratio. 3-1 to dirty Leeds

Agree with the OP - it's lovely that Jaidi is saying thatat as half of probably the best centreback pairing in the division he wouldn't know how to defend against our front line. I know it's unlikely but I hope Tranmere defenders are reading atht and bricking it

Bored so doing some sums... last heard we had 12,500 season ticket holders http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1943451,00.html If each of them bought 2 Wembley tickets that would be 25,000 sold. Saints attendence at the MK Dons match was 29,901 minus 447 away fans that's 29,454 if we assume that say about 2000 season ticket holders could make it that's another 19,000 potential purchasers. 25,000 + 19,000 = 44,000 Bloody glad now I'm not waiting for general sale On the brightside for those who are I'm sure plenty of non-season ticket holders are going as the number 2s of season ticket holders.
-
A thousand sold in a day isn't bad considering that they're still only on sale to season ticket holders and however many of the 29,000 area final attenddees weren't season ticket holders.
-
Bloody hell! Glad I've only got a tube ride to contend with - I do have to change from the Piccadily to the Metropolitan at one point but it doesn't really compete!
-
Automatic promotion in our first season back in the Championship? You're even more optimistic than I am
-
Bugger that means they're beating us ast the moment: Carlisle population 103,700 so 19,000 is 18.3% Southampton population 228,600 so 37,000 is 16.1% Of course our tickets don't go on general sale for another 2 weeks!

Highlights up on the beeb now http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8548493.stm I could sit and watch that all day
-
Yerp I noticed at half time he was back to the 38k figure I'm guessing it's the lower number as at one point he said only 10 thousand tickets left.
-
Just announced at SMS 38,500 tickets sold! Edit - oops make that 34,800 misheard the first time

Nick Halling, Ed Chamberlain and London Saints...
SaintDonkey replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I ran into someone wearing a Saints jacket in the Sobell Leisure centre Friday night (just up the road from the Emirates) said he did some work for Saints. And now I look at pictures of Nick Halling it could have been him... Scouting youngsters for Saints from under Arsenal's noses perhaps -
Any one mentioned that this is a must win game yet? If we play anywhere near our best we should win easily. We won't of course but we should!
