agreed. (although, I have to say, not many posts saying "like" or "agreed" on this forum...)

What i don't understand is why they don't reduce the goal dimensions. having goals 8ft tall is too high for most women, and as a result, the pool of talent for goalkeepers is awful, and maybe this is why the goalkeeping is so bad? Smaller goals and smaller pitches would really benefit the game. maybe a lighter ball also - for junior level, or women, a lighter ball can make the game faster. Other than that, the difficulty is just improving the skill level. hopefully that will improve in future generations as the talent pool gets larger. I think that by 2050, women's football could be as good as say league 1 is now - and that is more than enough to make for an entertaining game.

This. You can't compare women's internationals with premier league level men's games. Sunday league is where the relevant comparison is - and at that level, the men misbehave far more.
-
I agree with this, the pay is unequal. Men get paid ~8% of revenue, whereas the women are getting paid 13%. They should reduce the women's pay to be more equivalent to the mens. (or increase the men's pay to that of the women)

definitely should be shorter games, 30mins each way sounds good. I would also make the pitch 40 yards shorter (or maybe play width-ways?). Make the ball lighter so that we can get more power into the ball, (it's crazy to use the same optimised ball weight for men and women). That should make the physical side of the game much easier, and then we should see more goals, at which point, we make the goals a little bit smaller. It's crazy that the goal size designed for average 6ft+ men are also used for women who are on average under 6ft. OR, alternatively, allow trans-women to play at every level, and just keep things the same. the only disadvantage here is that women would not be able to make it into the international teams.

I agree with you, and yes those clubs fans do look at us in that way, and I am comfortable with it. The likes of Lancashire though, whilst terrible, would still boss it in the women’s game, there is a hierarchy, and we are where we are... Saints don’t have wings though, you are thinking of angels ?

It is poor quality, of course, but so is women’s tennis, women’s golf, women’s athletics, etc etc. There is still a place for it. It’s like the paralympics, which is lower quality, but still has a place. Think of them as overcoming their handicap to achieve something for themselves. I do think it would be FAR more popular if they wore netball uniforms instead of men’s kits. All other women’s sports have their own more feminine attire. Then I think no one would complain...

She should have gone ages ago, and she is completely deluded. She's proud of the last 3 years, when she should be apologising for them. After Gina Miller won her case and this all had to go through parliament, followed by calling a general election which weakened her side, she should have immediately started looking for a compromise solution that could pass both sides. She's overseen a complete and utter **** up of unbelievable incompetence. That she's upset is a shame for any human, but ffs, she really brought it on herself, she should have resigned several **** ups ago.

yeh! and we should also get de bruyne for our midfield, and buy Mane back to play up front with Kane. Maybe get de Gea in goal, although he is off the boil, he still has potential?

A firesale, with a few average sops brought in, would improve our squad significantly. I'd be very happy with this. The only players we have who would be difficult to replace would be hojberg and redmond.

Peter Crouch is out of contract. could be worth a punt, if only to make sure he doesn't play against us, I hate playing against him, always causes havoc in the area. could be good for our defenders to train against too. I think I might even be serious.

VAR will be interesting. I wonder if the ref bias to big clubs will still be prevalent in terms of how it is used, but if it is used fairly, I could imagine teams like liverpool will lose 6-9 points. Saints could gain 3-6 points. It will be nice to be able to play Watford on a level playing field too...

this. That's why there was no punishment on the Liverpool side and they didn't ban English clubs for 5 years. oh no wait, they did. weird.
-
Liverpool. although there is this concept of london press being spurs biased, i think it is outweighed by the love for Liverpool's fans and european history, the fact they have done it with hardly spending anything compared to Man city blah blah bleugh.

Media blackout for 24hrs then. Actually 48hrs for me since I’ve been avoiding the posh baby. Hope Ajax or spurs win the final. Barca were awful, again. Not the team they were a couple of years ago.

Think he gets a hard time, he tries hard, heart in the right place. It’s just unfortunate that he is incompetent at this level, and it’s not his fault the club doesn’t have better as backup. For us, it’s down to ralf whether he wants to improve depth in this position, and up to the club to provide it. For Stephens, it’s a decision to make, backup for saints and a good wage, or regular first teamer at a mid table championship club. Not a straightforward decision. If I was him, I’d probably want to stay.

There is a simple answer - we treat all genders equal, level playing field, and eliminate mens and womens sports. Everyone competes with everyone. after some time, this will naturally divide into leagues dominated by women and leagues dominated by men, but with no formal restriction on gender. all welcome. Then, if you want high quality sport, e.g. premier league, you will find yourself watching men. if you want a lower quality, slower pace, e.g. southern division, then you will find yourself watching more women. problems solved, can closed.

no, sarcasm is. (and second to last is pedantry)

Could just be England and Wales if Rupert get his way though.

Everyone's a little bit racist, sometimes. It doesn't mean we go around committing hate crimes. Look around and you will find no-one is really colour blind. (Maybe it's a fact we all should face - everyone makes judgments based on race). source; Disney

Customs union + confirmatory vote would get a decent majority. Compared to the customs union vote tonight, they would lose a few tories, but would gain all of the Lib Dem’s and tig, it would be enough...
