We never had much of a chance with piroe, Leeds had been chasing him for over a year, whereas we only came sniffing after we dropped a level. He was always heading there, nothing we could have done to convince him to come here. Did he even play against us the other week? Didn't notice him if he did, certainly didn't cause our leaky defence any problems. Adam armstrong scored 7 in 9, I'd rather have him.

Starmer is not in power. By the time he is, it won't just be a case of reversing the decision, the money will have been spaffed up the wall by then. -
EVERYONE IMMEDIATELY STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW. LIVERPOOL HAVE HAD AN OFFSIDE DECISON GO AGAINST THEM. REPLAY THE GAME, OR PAUSE THE PREMIER LEAGUE UNTIL THIS IS SORTED OUT. NOTHING LIKE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED BEFORE. IN CASE YOU DIDNT HEAR, LIVERPOOL HAVE HAD AN OFFSIDE DECISION GO AGAINST THEM. STOP THE PRESSES. I ASSUME THIS IS THE END OF OUR PROMOTION CAMPAIGN. SURELY FOOTBALL CANT CONTINUE NOW?

The 2021 one was 10x better, don't like the design on this one. The 2021 edition sold out in about 20mins, I suppose there is more chance of getting hold of this one.
-
If you're playing a high line and losing the ball a lot, you are liable to get a lot of "professional" yellows for pulling people back when being attacked on the break.
-
Teams fine, what were people expecting? It's not like we've signed a bunch of cdms since our last game. Predicting a 4-1 saints, all the moaning bedwetting fuckwit melts will have to find something else to moan about for a few days.

There was a luton player collapsed in the championship playoff final, given the summer break, that's only a few games ago.
-
Think September is a write off. October should be much better. Suggest we use September to practice defending.
-
Thought we were OK for the first 10 seconds or so. Hopefully against Ipswich we will make it to the 10 minute mark with one goal or less, and at least then we have a chance of maybe getting a draw (at half time, obviously not at game end).
-
Don't think anyone can blame baz or Martin for this one. If you have players who aren't paying attention and passing it to the opposition, that's what will happen. Baz showed there is nothing wrong with the tactic of playing it out if you are comfortable on the ball. Plenty of goals left in this, and it's a game of two halves. Maybe we can still win this.
-
Statistically ederson has very similar stats to bazunu, save percentage for example...
-
Nfl fixed this years ago, just copy what already works. 2 challenges per half, per team, managers discretion.
-
Great that we have a whole subset of fans delighting in scrutinising every move he makes and calling him shit all the time.

https://theathletic.com/4257447/2023/03/15/gavin-bazunu-season-reviewed/ Interesting that the only 2 clubs with fewer saves were man city and Brighton, the other two possession obsessed teams. Also interesting that bazunu's save percentage is very similar to ederson's, but I assume a lot of people think ederson is a decent keeper.

She's done a fucking good job though, isn't that the real story here? What a fucking good job she has done? Not sure why people are giving her a hard time and going on about concrete, she's done a fucking good job. Well done her. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-66709282 -
Saved us today from an even worse humiliation, so that will shut up some of the doubters, probably the only positive of a dire performance by the defence. Missed Stephens at the back, hopefully the new lad will be better than the Everton reject.

I heard he has passed every test so far, just one left to go, contrary to reports of a snag. Can't place the source right now but will post it if I can find it again.
-
He also demolished the champions arsenal almost single-handedly, one of the best opposition sides to ever visit St Mary's couldn't defeat the might of the tin man on form.
-
Last season, 65 fouls in 32 games, so around 2 per game. This season, 8 fouls in 3, but this may reflect referee changes rather than any trend in playing style.
-
No idea, just quoting osvaldorama. I'd not heard anything myself. Hopefully they are mistaken.
-
According to osvaldorama, Arma and bednarek are not available (lost). So it might have to be mara up front? I'd still like to see tall Paul given a chance in a team that creates opportunities, think he could be good in the 6 yd box.
-
Hope not. 🤮 Let's get players who at least pretend they give a shit.
-
No, keyword is "motivated". Think it is common knowledge that the motivation here is nothing to do with science and everything to do with revenue, the book is not taken seriously outside of its pandered to audience.
-
If we think save percentage is important, baz had a similar % shots saved last season as Ederson at man city, and had a higher saves per game ratio. (And saved 50% of penalties). Ergo, if man city can win in the prem despite having such awful keeper stats, so can we in the championship?
-
Obviously. Is there a contrary view? Surely noone thinks period poverty wouldn't affect trans-men?
