Do we know he was willing to take a pay cut? For someone tbat was willing to come here and if he was willing to take a pay cut, to end up at Everton because they have matched his wages says alot about him more than us. Thats if its actually done btw. Which we don't know either.

Haven't read it.. if someone could tell me the bit where he blames sending Gallagher on loan that would help me get to the lols quicker.
-
Yes. One plays for Monaco as back up to a classy striker. The other has struggled at a team bottom of the league of the league below our level. You're right though he's played well the last two games.
-
Pretty sure Gabbi will start Tuesday. We'll need Long more today sadly as he'll get us up the pitch. Gabbi will start Tuesday when we don't need that. Pellegrino has looked to rotate in double game weeks. No difference here.

Streams anyone?

We're better against better teams. 1-1.
-
As above. Their attackers are everything ours are not. Direct, explosive, a threat outside the box and clinical.
-
Not sure its been mentioned and I don't know the stats to back this up but I feel like the midfielders especially have confidence in him. I have certainly felt like they have been more direct and willing to release the ball into areas rather than waiting and waiting for the perfect ball for Long or Gabbi.

Out for me. Quite clear why and we don't need to go into it any more than everyone else already has. However a little calmness is needed. The clubs not go this far over the last few years panicking and acting drastically. Questions need to be asked about recruitment but lets be really honest, Reed and Wilson and whoever else has been involved will be just as frustrated and baffled as we are. This wouldn't have been their plan. This wouldn't be the way they would have envisaged this manager playing. They'd have saw a coach last year with Alves who got fans and players on his side quickly and they'd have spoken to him about length about keeping those qualities but when it came to games they'd have been convinved that he could deliver what wasn't being delivered last season. They'll be discussing why it hasn't happened themselves and thinking of a plan to put it right. They'd also be as frustrated as we are with the quality in the squad not delivering. I do think we should have signed an attacking player and will fully expect them to put this right in January just as they did last January. However you can see their thinking behind the likes of Boufal and Redmond being young and improving and starting to deliver this season but it's not happening. As I said, I personally want the manager to go but it's not quite as easy as that. We've got to be in a position to get someone else in (as I'm sure the last thing the mood on here needs here is Black in temporary charge)). Also if we did find somebody they still have the problem of the attackers not delivering. Whilst it's easy to call for wholesale changes the beauty of the club over the last 5 years has been the stability and the well thought out decisions. Yes it's not worked recently but I'll back Reed and Wilson to put it right, they've earned that. Especially Reed. One more chance though and whilst for it starts with admitting defeat on this guy and getting an attacker in January, it's not something I think is quite as easy as that.

Rodgers please. Plays the way we want. Has good experience. Think he'd want it if we go after him properly and we all man up and get over him being a knob at Liverpool.
-
We lack players capable of being direct and decisive. Its not the players fault. They aren't capable of it. They flirt with it a bit and Redmond and Boufal are young so will only improve but they aren't the type we need. We also massively miss Pelle. Someone capable of holding up the vall and bringing others into the game. Someone capable of getting on the end of crosses. Long is capable of holding it up and dragging the team up the pitch but isn't capable of finishing anything that is then created. So we have to go around teams and our full backs are actually quite good at that. However it means we become predictable and easy to defend against. Its no coincidence the games we create most in is ones where Long plays. He causes havoc and pushes us further up the field. Its also no coincidence we then miss alot of chances when he's involved. Pelle had the ability to do both (although there were obvious times he did neither). I don't think its the managers fault either. He tried pushing Boufal and Tadic closer to Gabbi a bit yesterday at one stafe but nothing stuck and everything came back. Its also not a coincidence that its been the same issue as last year. Recruitment wise I can see the thinking behind Boufal and Redmond being young and capable of producing better buy I was shocked we didn't try and get someone else im the summer and even more shocked if we don't in the January window. As it happens I think after Burnley we could see a couple of little surprises. We play better teams and I think the game will be a little more open for us. Happened at stages against United and we looked better until they put a stop to it. I don't think the likes of Liverpool, City and Arsenal will do that and we might actually surprise a few here. Equally we could be punished but at least it'll be more exciting
-
He will have much better strikers at Leicester. If they put half the chances we created away he'll be a hit.

When you say cowardly snuck out the backdoor, do you mean sacked and then made to do a press conference no other sacked manager has ever done? Also the Benteke on corners joke was borderline funny when it was first said Monday. Not now.

Don't think Sanches is all that. Sort of signing rivals will wet themselves and meltdown over for 2 weeks but by the end of November nobody will care. Just a classic case of a big club gambling on someone and it not working out. In the meantime his reputation has aoared and its seen as a coup for smaller clubs to get him. Eventually players find their level and a fine example of this is Shaqiri. Came with all the excitement and hype (including myself) but looking back on it there's a reason other big clubs saw his stint at Bayern and decided against it. He's gone to Stoke and found his level. Same could be happening here. If Sanches is sooo good and available why aren't Liverpool or someone else all over him. There's no way its just a gift from Ancelotti to Clement as if it was it woupd have happened ages ago. Much more likely Sanches has said, give it until the end and if it's still the only option and I'm not in the first team then fine. We do this too by the way with Lemina, Hoijberg etc. Get these players that haven't made it at top clubs. The trick is to sign them permanently and back your club to improve them so you reel in the benefits (good performances and money if it works out)...not on loan so he has no ties to them at the end of it and can drop off performance wise if he doesn't fancy it.

Evidently he was one of the few players who created a proper chance for us Saturday. By passing forward and by getting us in behind the defence.
-
Not sure if they sell PC that they'll be laughing. They've said quite a lot that they wouldn't sell him and I've yet to hear the "unlese we get a stupid bid" or "he makes it impossible for him to stay" caveat from them that we used.
-
He isn't going to refuse to play. If he's still here September 1st, he'll be back in training asap. He has a reputation to hold up and sitting on his arse hoping to leave isn't going to keep top clubs interested in him.

People moaning about body language ffs! Redmond and Bertrand are both moody as **** at the best of times, constantly arguing with each other on the pitch as well but best mates of it. Calm down and stop overreacting. We're desperately short of a powerful direct wide attacking player (Mane?) or a dominant striker who would be capable of bringing our attacking midfielders into the game more (Pelle?). It's no coincidence our best passage of play (especially away) come when Long is on and he starts winning headers and holding the ball up a bit. It's just a shame he's awful technically and it's a shame that our best technical striker isn't capable of being a target man. We either need another striker or a wide attacking player who is capable of getting the ball and dragging us up the pitch and when we get up there is willing to do something different and have a shot. We're so short of ideas when we get the ball up top and end up just passing it around and letting their defence settle. We have one attacking idea which is the overlapping full backs. Soares final ball is awful and Bertrand has probably got the hump is our best attacking threat.

I have an account which the subscription expired yeah. What's the code?
-
Ok I've signed up to PIA VPN. So is the wisest and most reliable thing to subscribe to sportsmania for a week? I don't really get the code thing, do we have to wait until 11 to sign up. Or is there reliable sites elsewhere when using a VPN? Cheers
-
What's a good VPN app then?
-
It's not showing anywhere in the world as far as I can see so very unlikely there will be a stream.
-
Yes because all have been seemingly picked up by TV stations elsewhere and then someone has uploaded it to create a stream (People get how streams work right?). For whatever reason our friendly hasn't been picked up and Saints aren't allowed to stream it themselves. It's a bit **** there is no radio commentary though agreed.
