  1. Unless they’ve played the same day you will know it’s not the mens game though? They aren’t being ambiguous, they’re stating a headline just as they would if it was the mens game. Again, you clicking on it believing it to be for the mens game is down to you, not them. They’re certainly not being ambiguous if they’ve spent all week forcing it down your throat telling you the fixture is going to be played as everyone seems to be saying on here and then they tell you the result. If you really need everything sign posted with clear headlines stating ‘WOMENS GAME ALERT’ then my suggestion is you need educating in both forms of the game and that you aren’t taking in any of the coverage they’re forcing on you constantly.
  2. Just on this, because the rest of the chat is utter drivel, you say ‘it wasn’t until you clicked on it that you knew it was a woman player’ but that’s more of a reflection on your ignorance and lack of knowledge regarding the mens game as well as the womens game. For a start Kadeisha is a womans name. Secondly, she’s a top player in the woman’s game and thirdly even if you aren’t aware of the first two facts, you have to have a serious lack of mens football knowledge to be completely unaware of anyone Chelsea sign, not least because they rarely sign completely unknown players but also they rarely sign someone so out of the blue that you wouldn’t have been able to miss the speculation of it up to this point. So clicking on that because you didn’t know who the person was isn’t catching you out deciptively at all, it’s just showing you up for a lack of knowledge and how easily influenced by click bait headlines you are.
  3. Lad at Roma called Persson too potentially.
  4. I think he just double posted.
  5. No. I think it’s something that people online like to say because they seem to value it when in reality the basis of any signing should be ‘are they good?’ and in regards to this kid all the reports and footage seem to suggest yes he is. Also, he has some experience. International and first team experience but because he’s not been in a struggling Burnley team on the TV every week it’s dismissed. Bizarre IMO but hey ho.
  6. Raya’s experience at that point was just the Championship with Blackburn though and they signed him to play in the Championship too. If we had signed Raya at that stage, people would criticise. It’s what this place and online fan bases do. Anyway, on this lads merits alone it’s a good signing by the sounds of it. All reports about him are positive and he’s highly rated. Based solely on information about the player I see no reason to be pessimistic. If you then take into account the Gunn experience and the notion that the word ‘experienced’ seems to comfort people based on very little reasoning other than it would be nice to have then I can understand the caution but actual reality of this keeper and his talent it seems a good signing.
  7. The play is reset by the deliberate play from the German player. https://t.co/6p2Oi4ynF4
  8. Dated or not this is just generic waffle with little basis and it's very easy to come back at you with even more generic stereotypes and argue the complete opposite that the problem England have had over the years has not been their lack of technique but their mental side of the game and this is what cost them against a Serie A heavy side against Italy last year but whatever. I'm actually intrigued to know which players you have in mind who can offer the grit, determination and leadership you so desire...apart from Jimmy Case...
  9. He doesn't mention the English game or understanding what English fans tick once so that's not what his post comes across as and also the idea the idea that someone needs to understand "the English game" or "what makes English fans tick" is still pathetic. It's quite literally the same game across the world.
  10. Looks like Romeu competition to me more than anything. Good move.
  11. He was tasked with implementing a slightly more possession based game so we could manage two games a week with Europe. At the same time, especially at the end, he had some really out of form strikers which just lead to everything becoming stale and Tadic just racking up his chances created stats and the strikers their games without scoring stats. There were issues with him and his management of course but there's no doubt he was let down by poor strikers (bad recruitment plays a part here) and the whole Fonte debacle as well.
  12. Turns out I've not read other threads.
  13. ...is absolutely fine...the set up for it however is awful. We're hardly a big team anyway but two of our biggest threats are kept back for it.
  14. Fonseca has tasked his people with linking him with every possible job in the PL in the hope of actually getting one seemingly. Age old tactics, Howe doing similar too.
  15. There was no way he was going from being injured and one (i think? maybe 2) sub appearance to starting 2 games a in a week.
  16. Okay, looking forward to Pep, Klopp, Simeone etc fighting over the job. This Fonseca/Howe thing is clearly a smokescreen.
  17. The idea that Newcastle could have any manager they want now is more hilarious fwiw.
  18. 1.5 for a Charlton win. Over evens for HT/FT and Charlton -1 though.
  19. Find the calls to push Tino higher slightly bizarre tbh. His two best attributes this season have been his defending and the driving from deep past players. His final ball hasn’t been great and he’s played every game facing the goal. If you move him up he won’t be defending, he won’t be able to drive from deep and he’ll have to play with his back to goal more and find an end product. Not saying he can’t do it but it’s a strange clamour to move our best performer so far into another role. Our biggest issue right now is being predictable in our build up. Just after they scored we created our best chance when Romeu played a lovely through ball from deep. Sadly that deep through ball was totally out of character. We’re slightly too concerned about attacking in patterns in my opinion. There’s not enough ‘randomness’ (I’m sure there is a better word).
  20. They haven't scraped all TV fixtures for the competition or even the round fwiw. The tweet is slightly misleading. Two fixtures on Sky Sports this week.
  21. I'm surprised people are "expecting" us to go 4141 again. I thought Ralph made it clear the tactic was designed to allow West Ham more of the ball and draw them out a bit because they normally don't care for the ball in their own half. I don't think City need that encouragement. I think we'll go back to disrupting the opposition.
  22. As Leonardo said last week, they know full well PSG will reject it but they can convince Mpabbe they were willing to throw loads of money at it to get him when he has the pick of clubs in 6 months time.
  23. Nixon is just below Crook in terms of credibility imo but young top talents is clearly a part of our remit now so sounds plausible. Although Everton have been keen on this kid all summer and with Kean leaving they can offer him a place right behind Calvert-Lewin which we can't (at least for another year anyway). Nixon is clearly fed information by selling teams a lot as well to boost buying teams into moving quicker (see his insistence throughout the Armstrong stuff that Palace and Norwich were in advanced talks) so again, I'd take it with a pinch of salt for now.
  24. Offside and it also wasn't VAR who disallowed it, it was the linesman.

Denial of a goal scoring opportunity = red card. It's the clearest red card you'll see all season by the rules.
