CB Saint Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 We could have a Nutjob whipround. Steve could choose to spend it on other things and then we'd give him a payment plan. he already does have an annual whip round. Steve then buys you a curry.
hypochondriac Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 To be honest crossed my mind too. Why? Steve didn't do anything did he? My guess is its aimed at his ex wife.
andysstuff Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 Why? Steve didn't do anything did he? My guess is its aimed at his ex wife. Only crossed my mind briefly. Didn't see any logic behind it and equally briefly dismissed If it is his ex, that's one bitter man to plaster it over Twitter.
hutch Posted 25 March, 2015 Posted 25 March, 2015 We could have a Nutjob whipround. Steve could choose to spend it on other things and then we'd give him a payment plan. Count me in for 50p.
TopGun Posted 26 March, 2015 Posted 26 March, 2015 Have to say Micah does still seem unbalanced. Threats of revenge on Twitter ain't the sign of a healthy psyche.
St Chalet Posted 26 March, 2015 Posted 26 March, 2015 Count me in for 50p. Can you not stretch to R10? My Legal Council will happily help us defend any claim made by Mr Engagement.
St Chalet Posted 26 March, 2015 Posted 26 March, 2015 In other news I happen to know someone at Jobsite. They have just renewed their sponsorship. When I asked whether they got a cracking deal because it would cost so much to unattach the stadium from their logo I was met with laughter but no denial.

TopGun Posted 27 March, 2015 Posted 27 March, 2015 There's a number of them suggesting that Nigel Adkins should replace Awford. He'd probably do a good job too. But I'm pretty sure Pompey couldn't afford Adkins and I'm also fairly sure that there will be a queue of Championship and L1 clubs who will approach him in the summer too.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Nothing in that Facebook drivel about WHY they nearly went under. McInnes - Championship, lol. WTFILN.
rallyboy Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 It was the international market crash, everyone knows that, they were just very unlucky. It certainly wasn't theft, fraud, greed, delusion, lies and tax evasion.
Lets B Avenue Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Former hero and ticket office supremo, Liam Lawrence, returns today. Probably won't find any of his missing wages, but hopefully, leaves with 3 points.
Lets B Avenue Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Booing at half-time. Can only have come from the away fans, surely?
Waterside.saint Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 They're currently 12 points north of the L2 relegation zone and 12 points south of the playoffs. Its the hope that'll kill them
andysstuff Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Sounds like the epitome of mid table mediocrity. Long may it continue.
Batman Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Booing at half-time. Can only have come from the away fans, surely? Must be. Pompey fans are the best ever
Waterside.saint Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Nyron Nosworthy. Already on one yellow, looks as if he's looking for another to go with it
Torres Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Steve Grant seems to have got both for Shrewsbury. How crap must Pompey be?

Golden Balls Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Mate of mine is a Shrewsbury fan. He just text me this... "Pfc fans were shocking. Thought they were meant to be amazing. Could hear a pin drop between their booing." He's clearly mistaken though. Can only assume he was overwhelmed with excitement after winning a cup final.
TopGun Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Pompey can make the playoffs if they win the last seven games...
Lets B Avenue Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 What a shame there is no "Football League Show" on the Beeb tonight.
BigShadow Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Steve Grant seems to have got both for Shrewsbury. How crap must Pompey be? Assist for the second goal provided by the septic isles favorite ticket booth attendant.
eurosaint Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 So another season in the 4th division it is then Anyway that's where they like it, so they tell us (none of this PL ****** for them, eh !) everything is 'real' down there ! Real rust in the stadium, real dogsh#t in the car park, real fat in the pipes and real delusion in the fan base ! Deep joy ! Deep joy
rallyboy Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Could someone just remind me again of why we are all so jealous?
Golden Balls Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Oh dear. The bestest not showering themselves in glory once again...

In other news: And a burst of boos rang out at the final whistle from the Fratton faithful as they were clearly unhappy with the latest disappointing display. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-slump-to-shrews-defeat-1-6660813 Outstanding. Quality article from the souths No1 journo.. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/light-relief-for-fratton-park-as-summer-upgrade-targeted-1-6659960 ‘There is a leak and brown stains in the ceiling in the chairman’s lounge, by where the television is situated. ‘Some pieces of Fratton Park are consistently falling into Frogmore Road, like guttering from roofs. ‘If you go down the corridor in Chimes, when it rains there is water coming in, it is that bad. There are areas of the North stand still not getting hot water, there are areas of our corporate lounges not getting hot water

Quality article from the souths No1 journo.. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/light-relief-for-fratton-park-as-summer-upgrade-targeted-1-6659960 Reading that is quite worrying in a way. They sound like they're just a matter of time away until something serious happens which could result in a huge bill or even worse result in injuries.
hypochondriac Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 None of that sounds cheap. It's a good job they've got a 'seven figure sum' put aside. Such a shame that the Tesco money will now be used as a sticking plaster on a gaping wound rather than the stand it was intended for.
eurosaint Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Could someone just remind me again of why we are all so jealous? Perhaps we just don't understand the concept of 'bestestism' although we do seem to recognise 'tinpotism' when we see it !

rallyboy Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Increased capacity, that's the answer to everything! Imagine being able to hear 28,000 people booing instead of 14,000. Even by portsmythmatics that's still nearly three and a half times as many, and double the size of Old Trafford.

Just as Einstein observed that time was not an absolute, but depended on the observer's movement through space, so it was realized that facts are not absolute, but depend on being the Bestest." TopGun Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 Catlin trying to let the fans down gently that there's no new stand in the offing and the supermarket money won' t go very far...
Sevvy Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 I thought they only got the money if tesco's built their store. Or am I missing something here.
bridge too far Posted 28 March, 2015 Posted 28 March, 2015 I thought they only got the money if tesco's built their store. Or am I missing something here. I don't think Tesco build stores - rather a developer builds the store and sells / rents it to Tesco. Given Tesco's rowing back from new stores, I wonder if the developer will have to try to do something else with the site. He won't give Pompey any dosh until he's done so, surely?
